Sounds Like: Fans say Laura's signature is the surprise turn you start to listen for in each of her songs. The surprise of Laura's voice is that it SWINGS folk and even rock. Swinging jazz tunes are a given... At times you hear Carrie Underwood in Stand Some More, and then Norah Jones pops up. There's Peter Paul & Mary roots in Griffen and Sabine, & there's Emma Lou Harris throw-backs in her radio friendly Country song, The Wind Swept Down.If you like poetry, try unwinding Under the Radar.Laura's true originality BLAZES in the jazz works of her song, My Defender, and the blues-rock of Tree of Life and award winning, Faith Like Peter.
