Welcome to the official MySpace page for fans of BenSem, a Pontypridd-based band formed to showcase the extraordinary song writing talents of Craig Semmens (Sem). The site is looked after by people who believe in the band, and you can be sure the boys know what’s going on here!
So who are BenSem? The name ‘BenSem’ is the joining of Ben and Sem. Sem, a broken spirit in his struggle through hard times, some years ago created Ben – an alter ego to give him the strength to develop the creative and complex artist that you see today.
Although Sem wrote poetry and was artistic from a young age, the spark that lit the desire to write songs did not appear until age seventeen when he picked up his first guitar. He started writing songs and slowly but surely realised that creating amazing music was what he was destined to do.
Sem is joined in the band by childhood friend and lead guitarist Pete Rawbone, Adrian Jones on bass and Stevie Allen on drums.
Together, BenSem have created a stir in the music scene and are heading for greatness. Their music is powerful and unlike anything else you will hear in today’s music scene. So sit back, make yourself comfortable and just listen....
