TRIVIA
Devil's Due Publishing: Arcee and Bumblebee?
Transformers Perceptor, Bumblebee, Grimlock and Arcee meet in the pages of Devil's Due comics crossover. Arcee appeared in the Devil's Due third series. Grimlock, Arcee, Bumblebee and Perceptor were sent to Earth to aid G.I. Joe in removing the influence of Cybertronian technology on Earth. During this, an attraction had been growing between Arcee and Bumblebee.
Bumblebee took center stage in the third crossover series. Sporting his original alternate mode again, he is shown to have something of a crush on Arcee. Arcee soon worked under Bumblebee's squad.
Events led to Bumblebee's tragic death at the hands of SerpentO.R and Arcee and the others were captured. Freed by Snake-Eyes, Arcee was part of the assault to rescue Prime and proved instrumental in SerpentO.R's defeat. She had a mutual attraction to Bumblebee and was devastated when Serpent O.R. killed him. Arcee was seen mourning Bumblebee at the end.
2007 Transformers Film stripped Arcee off of script
Arcee was initially set to be in the 2007 Transformers film, but due to fan complaints wasdropped from the script and replaced with Ironhide. Arcee was also left out due to lack oftime to explain the presence of a female in a robotic race. According to her tech spec,Arcee received combat training from Ironhide. Arcee was cut as they had little time to explain robotic gender.
SEQUELS
On May 30, 2007, Dreamworks greenlit two sequels to Transformers, and Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Peter Cullen signed on to return. Producer Tom DeSanto has envisioned a
storyline introducing the Dinobots, Constructicons, and Soundwave. Michael Bay has not signed on yet, "trying to keep some leverage for the negotiations", but already has ideas, including an aircraft carrier character. The producers expect that with a bigger budget and the special effects worked out, the Transformers will have a larger role.

Though small compared to many of her peers and adversaries, Arcee compensates with speed and aggressive maneuvers, making her one of the most dangerous Autobots around. More, Arcee is a born hunter. She honed her speed hunting turbofoxes with other speedsters, challenging herself to get as close as possible before tagging them with her bow. She's a crack shot with said crossbow weapon, and Ironhide has trained her to use her speed to her advantage in battle, striking suddenly and swiftly and then vanishing away again as fast as she appeared.
Arcee was one of a handful of Autobots under the command of Bumblebee who desperately fought against Megatron's vast army at Tyger Pax. She was captured and interrogated by the Decepticons but survived the ordeal. Bumblebee's heroics delayed Megatron, preventing Megatron from intercepting the wormhole-bound Allspark.
Target Robovision Bio
Arcee was on Earth for a short time at the beginning of the conflict there, presumably arriving shortly after Bumblebee. When the situation on Earth began to ramp up into out-and-out combat, she was reassigned elsewhere, where her stealth skills would be of more use.
Now she fights in the Charii system against a Decepticon splinter cell working on a star-breaking weapon. If she has her way, the only things breaking will be their heads.
Arcee transforms into a purple 2006 Buell Firebolt XB12R motorcycle. As an off-screen design (though she originally was going to be an on-screen character), Arcee has references tampographed on her vehiclemode, such as her motorcycle's model name 'RC 1100', and her number plate (from the state of Massachusetts) marked TF7407, the original release date of the movie.
As a redeco of Energon Arcee, unusually for a Transformer, she does not hold her weapon in her hands as most figures do. Instead, her Energon Bow mounts on a peg in her arms, with her hands being positioned to give the appearance of her using the bow. The bow itself is spring-loaded, firing a grey missile arrow.
In robot mode, Arcee is quite accurate to the final CG concept design, though with more solid limbs and and a more recognisably feminine appearance influenced by Energon Arcee's sculpt and general arrangement of parts. Reasonably articulated, Arcee features ball joints in her arms, hips and neck with swivels rounding out her ankles, knees and wrists. Arcee's Automorphing feature is located in her crossbow weapon (formed out of the seat/storage area of the bike), activated when the projectile (the bike's tailpipe) is inserted which pushes out the recurved lath parts on the sides of the weapon. Amusingly, in robot mode Arcee is one of the tallest of the Deluxe class figures released in the movie line thus far, which no doubt makes Jazz feel even worse.
A look at the Arcee figure to be released in the Movie toy line.
Transformers Autobot Arcee
Arcee was introduced in Transformers the Movie and up until that time was the only female character in the Transformers line. Neither Takara nor Hasbro ever produced Arcee as a toy. There was a model kit in the past but Arcee never got past the prototype stage. Takara recently released a new version of Arcee and Hasbro released repaint of Transmetal2 Arcee for the BOTCON (Robot Convention with BotCon taken from Autobot and Decepticon).
Female Autobots
As Transformers are not a biological race and do not reproduce in the traditional way one would expect from a race with male and female distinctions, the debate of precisely why female Transformers even exist is often brought in the fandom, and can be a particularly heated point of discussion, particularly since cartoon and comic continuity differed so wildly on it.
Female Cybertronians are particularly rare, and in the four million years that Optimus Prime and his crew were absent from Cybertron, they were perceived to have become extinct. However, this was not the case, a small band of the female warriors wageda guerilla war against Shockwave, stealing Energon out from under his unwitting 'nose'. However, in the Earth year 1985, the existence of the Female Autobot was revealed.
Although a group of Female Autobots had already been featured in one episode of the original cartoon series, Arcee quickly became the most famous due to her position as a recurring cast member following her introduction in The Transformers: The Movie. In the movie it was implied that Arcee might have had feelings for Hot Rod, whom she was closest to, but since his transformation to Rodimus Prime she seemed to grow closer to Springer. There was also a strong bond of friendship between Arcee and her human companion, Daniel Witwicky.
The Wreckers
When Arcee appeared as a Maximal Valkyrie, she joined the Wreckers. Fractyl is almost killed by the Vehicons, and Arcee saves his life by sharing her spark with him, converting him into a new body in the process.
During a battle against a horde of killer Nightbirds, Daniel and Wheelie sacrificed their lives to end the threat. The death of Daniel took a serious toll on Arcee's personality, turning her into a depressed and brooding
stereotype.
Arcee is in the same Transformers era as her two friends and fellow Autobots Hot Rod and Springer, both of whom she cares for deeply. The level-headed and logical one of the three, it is usually Arcee who needs to reign in the other two when their egos or attitudes are getting out of control. In addition, Arcee also proves to being both a fierce warrior and a talented gunner.
During the years when Shockwave united most of Cybertron, Arcee was in a resistance group to his rule along with Kup, Blaster, Hot Rod and Wheelie. Later, after Shockwave's defeat, Arcee joined Ultra Magnus in trying to fortify one of Cybertron's moons - but her affections were the subject of a feud between Hot Rod and Springer.
Whatever the connection between Arcee and Hot Rod, romantic or not, it was lost when Hot Rod became Rodimus Prime. Despite appearances that perhaps Arcee and Hot Rod were romantically involved in 2005, throughout 2006, Arcee was depicted as being in a relationship of some form with Springer, presumably because he saved her during the shuttle launch.
