In the fall of 2006, a typical nine-to-five worker picked up a random hitchhiker on the way home from a late night concert. During the ride home, the two individuals talked about life, the daily grind, and ultimately their fevered love for music. They quickly formed a personal bond and decided to explore their common interests further.
It was during the development of a long-lasting friendship, the two individuals decided to start playing music – the hitchhiker learned to play drums and the driver learned how to sing. The two started to practice…
Quickly, the musicians found a connection and wanted to form a band. So, they invited an inexperienced, yet developing guitarist to join the group. The three people meshed well and the music started to develop.
During the spring of 2007, the band invited an extended friend to play bass. It was during that time the musicians officially named themselves Mizon – a soon-to-be household name in the realm of metal and progressive music.
In the ensuing months, the band created new songs, played numerous live shows, and developed an undisputable and strong local following. They were quickly becoming a band to be watched in the Denver metro area.
Then, in the summer of 2008, the band faced controversy. The newly acquired bassist decided to leave the band for personal reasons. Thus, the future of Mizon was officially in turmoil.
Last fall, tryouts were held for a new bassist and guitarist. After months of contemplation, the musicians announced their future band members.
Now, Mizon is a new musical entity - a new sound, an electric energy, and a driving passion that is difficult to match and impossible to master. Truly, this is an experience you won’t want to miss.
Mizon is: Justin – Vocals, Taylor – Guitar, Morgan – Drums, Matt – Guitar, and Chad – Bass.
