The Swiss initiator of the RioParade, Adrian Halter aka A.J. Crypt, had already started to spin in different small discotheques and at parties in 1989. Right after his debut he also began to organize parties successfully. Soon he became resident at the “Real-House” and was invited to participate of several big events such as the famous “Street Parade” in Zurich. Throughout his career, A.J. Crypt has shared the turntables with the greatest names in the electronic scene, Carl Cox, Tiesto, Paul van Dyk, Erik Morillo, John Digweed, Sven Väth are among them. A.J. has traveled the world playing in great events and venues such as the “Love Parade - Berlin”, the “Closing Party” at “Space - Ibiza”, the “Winter Music Conference - Miami“, the “FIFA World Cup 2006 - Germany”, the “Innercity - Amsterdam” or the “Heineken FFWD Parade”, where he played together with Ferry Corsten at the main stage. Still among his worldwide presentations, A.J. Crypt has rocked clubs in New York (Club NV, Nocturne, Pangea), Miami & Ibiza (Space), Berlin (Tresor, Pulp Mansion), Amsterdam (Escape, XL), Beijing (Cloud 9), Taipei (Bacchus), Taichung (Moon Island), Hvar/Split (Carpe Diem), Prague (De La Bassa), Zurich (Supermarket, Zoo), Chile (Space World Tour) and Barcelona (Milk), to name just a few. In Brazil, A.J. spun at most of the biggest events like RioParade, Parada da Paz, Ipanema Stereo Beach, Skol Rio, São Paulo Fashion Week, Tiesto Brazil Tour 2006, X-Demente and the Gay Parade in São Paulo, which holds around 2 million people every year. A.J.’s tour in 2002, earned him the Brazilian record of the biggest DJ-tour ever set for a foreign DJ, with 32 bookings in just 50 days. Among the 100 clubs and 50 cities, where A.J. spun all around Brazil, are nearly all of the finest club-venues, such as Sirena, Anzu, Ibiza, Fashion Club, Ultralounge and Vibe. A.J. Crypt has definately a great story of success in Brazil, his extensive list of clients and events goes very long, Fashion labels Hugo Boss and Colcci, Red Bull Music Academy, Ballantines Go&Play, Philips Expression, Intergroove Tour, Ministry of Sound, Coca-Cola Light Lounge, Playboy TV and several radio stations (Jovem Pan, Transamérica). The "AJC-music" is a kind of minimal-electro, sort of tech-house, dirty, cool, sexy and smooth, with some aspects of tribal. A.J.'s set normally begins with an introduction, builds a riveting plot and then goes down with an unbelievable conclusion. Connected to the scene, A.J. organized the RioParade, an event which held 200.000 people in Rio de Janeiro, and established A.J. Crypt as a successful international producer and DJ.
