Acmatic (adj); of or relating to the highest point, the summit, the peak. eg. "Watching the athlete perform was astounding, he was acmatic in form."Acmatic is the fusion of three people:
Phillip Lopez; KING LOPO on the mic,
Russell Meghoo; MXY on the beats,
Alexander Delapenha; RONIN BEATSMITH also on the beats

KINGLOPO x MXY x RONIN BEATSMITH = ACMATIC
Inspired heavily by the carefree, easy going attitudes of groups like The Pharcyde, Souls of Mischief and much of the late 80's - mid 90's hip hop era; this titanic trio has set forth to do what it is they do well, and enjoy doing it.
What is it that they do?
Music, pure and simple.
Not to sell them short however as three guys moaning about "true hip hop" this and that,these three guys take from a wide array of influences. From the cool of Miles Davis' trumpet to the explosive energy of groups like Justice, The Sex Pistols and The Who to the ethereal sounds of M83 and Sigur Ros to the dance floor magnetising sounds of Chromeo, NERD and Shinichi Osawa; these musical chefs have exposed themselves to a melting pot of musical styles that shows itself frequently in the music.
Don't settle yourself into getting used to only one sound to come from this group. The complementary, contrary and still ever evolving tastes and styles of the three members means an ever changing sound scape that grows and mutates with time.
What kind of music do we make?
To put it bluntly, whatever the fuck we want.
