About Me

TACD HAVE NOW SPLIT UP
This time we all know it is for good. Sorry to all the people who were planning on letting us gig with them but the music wasn't there like it used to be.The band split mainly due to differences in music, although the split may be best for the each individual members as they will surely do well with the new projects they are currently in. TACD will live on in many hearts as being the instrumental band it started as. It wasnt easy but it was very, very rewarding on a personal level for all of us.This site will be dedicated to the past memories that we had and the songs that we loved shall be rotated on the site, with maybe some stuff that many didnt hear.We love you like you loved us, peace people of the plane oceana, we come one. CHRIS DALY
A BRIEF HISTORY:
The band first met in 2003 when we were playing in a blues/ doors style band called Aspire, but it wasn't the direction we wanted to be going in. After a few demos were issued between the band, another band formed - The Angel Chain Diaries. After Aspire, we became known as Velvet 12 for a short while, then The Angel Chain Diaries. The music was like it is now, only now we have matured beyond the original instrumentals. It has been a lengthy process of hiring and firing, falling out, crazy weekends that lasted months and god knows how many parties, gigs and adventures.
The music had become the main role - without singing. However this became tiresome and restrictive to say the least. As you all know there aren't that many people out there who have the attention span to listen to music without vocals! Our back catallogue of jams, songs and live recordings is a large one although we are at the moment preoccupied creating new songs with lyrics. We shall rework our past songs and no doubt they will have a new lease of life!
THE REVIEW BELOW IS BY
THE DEVIL HAS THE BEST TUNA

"Flying in from another dimension, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind, a dimension of sound, a dimension where lyrics have not yet been invented are the Angel Chain Diaries. They sound like the Stone Roses have been transported back to the UFO club in 1967. Their ambitious neo-progressive work outs meander around like random thoughts finally ending up at a different destination than that on which they embarked. In an era when the average humans attention span is shorter than a Napalm Death B-Side 11 minute instrumentals are not the best career move but it does mean that the Angel Chain Diaries do stand out from the crowd. With a singer and lyricist these Angels could be set to fly."
