Domenico Sigalas

Domenico was born in Athens in 1984. Started taking piano lessons at the age of six in Piraikos Syndesmos music school. At the age of 14 he also started playing acoustic/electric guitar and bass and until this day he remains a self-taught guitarist.
In 2002 he entered the Musicology Department of University of Athens and through his studies he focused on Music Technology, Electroacoustic Music, Sound Recording, Music for Media and Music Composition. Meanwhile he continued his piano and music theory studies in Atheneum conservatory with professors, Kostas Varotsis, Marianna Aivazova and Dimitris Lionis.
He is influenced by many music styles, classical, rock, pop and metal to name a few. Has been involved in many music bands over the years such as Eternal Fire, Garden Of Sorrow, Sweethurt, as the main songwriter, singer and guitarist/keyboardist and has also worked sporadically as a session musician (guitarist/keyboardist) for other bands. Since the age of 8, when he started writing music, has written over 500 songs of many kinds of music styles, and for the last 4 years he has been composing orchestral music as well.
He has been writing music for folk singers and is working as a Radio Commercial Music writer (advertisements, radio station themes). At the moment he writes his own material, orchestrating, recording and producing it at his home studio playing keyboards, guitar, bass and singing the vocals. He is also responsible for the mastering of his recordings.
