I also am a big fan of rock/metal music particularly old school though anything that gets me headbanging (is that still cool to do?) I'm a big massive fan of Guns N Roses -the first band I ever gotten into. They were a massive influence to me when I was growing up in my teens and as soon I was legal enough to I had them tattoed on my arms. I don't rate much the new 'Guns N Roses' as for one thing there is only ONE original member and the song is not my taste (though my husband likes it enough). I will definately see them if they do have a one off show as that is pretty a big deal!!!
Of course I also like other bands like Megadeth, Machine Head, My Chemical Romance (that's right I like them!), Linkin Park (I would say their first album is the best)and more...Slayer, Pantera, Motley Crue - I can go on so you get the idea the kind of band I am into.
I, of course, like a typical rock chick like my pubs and clubs though I have't been out and about for a while due to the weather - freaking fucking cold (of course it will be different if you are reading this in summer)and no spare money. Also although I love clubbing there is only so much you can headbang to 'Peace Sells'...or perhaps 'Paradise City' and to add, break your back doing air guitar - I am not fond of what most girls though 'dancing' in a group with their bags pooled neatly in the middle looking dainty and pretty. I pretty much rock out when I'm in a rock club - after all that is why it's called a 'rock club'.
I use to play guitar, love it a lot - I still have my first guitar; cheap one called Kramer that the only reason I bought it because it resembles Slash's guitar cherry sunburst. Of course I can't afford the real thing - I'm only 13 at that time and can you imagine what my parents will say if I ask for a guitar that costs an arm and a leg? The nearest decent Gibson guitar I had is Epiphone which I still got - I doubt I will sell that. I love using Boss 5 pedals and wah wah pedal though it's not the easiest to play (but I like a challenge).
My husband is a brilliant guitarist he plays in the style of a virtuoso like Steve Vai - one his favorite guitarist...I personally been heavily influenced to the sound of - of course - Slash style...you can't go wrong with pentatonic scales and power chords! Yeah I can play Guns N Roses songs like Night Train, Sweet Child O'Mine, Patience, Don't Cry...etc.
I stopped playing when pretty much the 'cock rock' era had died and grunge took over, that is why I am not keen on Nirvana and it's peers. Today however I haven't really have anybody new to listen to that rocked me as much as it did Gn'R, maybe I'm just too nostalgic but there ya go...
That is pretty much me in a nutshell if you could be bothered to read this, I'm a pretty much a private person - I'm not much of what you see is what you get, maybe what I want you to see is what you get - so those people who have known me for a bit you don't really know me. Trust is important to me and like a joe blog - you get fucked up and only 'real' friends get to know me.
In my most basic profile I have a sense of humour, friendly, passionate, adventurous and loyal however to balance that I can be impatient, moody, sarcastic, temperamental and easily bored.
In my spare time I like watching videos, chatting to friends and listening to music and going sky diving - okay I made that up just to get your attention. I am freakin scared of heights!
I like to hear from people who share the same interest and likes and dislikes or whatever...
