About Me

Aside from being a Dad, what defines me most in life, is being a musician. At the age of 10, I started playing the saxophone. At age 15, I put a Gibson SG Bass on lay-away at "Crazy Jim's Music" in Anoka (now, "Mr. Mark's Music") and paid it off with the money I made working at Burger King for $3.35/hr.(!) and thus, I began to Rock. At age 21, I purchased a Classical Guitar. At age 26, I actually started to learn how to play the damn thing. Shortly after this, I discovered Flamenco Guitar, which became a moderate obsession with me. I still consider the Bass Guitar my "main instrument", although, at times, the Flamenco Guitar has seemed to be a close second. Then of course, there's Flamenco Guitar techniques on the Bass Guitar, something I find to be particularly BiTCHiN'! Somewhere along the way, I got into Percussion. I dabble with various other Stringed Instruments, I do a little Piano, as well.....and reciently, the Electric Guitar has been speaking to me, more than normal.Apart from the whole "Garage Band/Party Band" thing (which was alot of fun at the time!) - Bands/Groups I've performed and/or recorded with are: The Bitchin' Gentlemen (Bass), Casual Observer (Bass & Sax), The Michael Hauser Flamenco Group (Percussion), Sryzhalys (Guitar, Percussion & Balalaika), TheatroN (Bass) and Venice Gas House Trolley (Guitar & Sax).In 2002, I released my first solo disc, entitled "Sir Anthony's: Musical Contemplations", half of this cd is comprised of previousely unreleased and alternate versions of material recorded during sessions with The Bitchin' Gentlemen and Casual Observer, and the other half is comprised of material written, performed and recorded solely by myself. In 2007, I (along with my partner, J Roth) released "Theatron: Wallace & the Dragon". A cd of original music, which we performed in our show, "Wallace & the Dragon", as part of the 2007 Minneapolis Fringe Festival. Also, I've added music pages for my solo work (~ Sir Anthony ~), for Theatron and for the Experimental Musicians Club (more about that in the Blog) which you can find in my "top friends".Until next time, don't forget to be Zen....found this plain layout at HOT FreeLayouts.com :: and/or
