About Me

PlanetZoeThe concept of content, to mix tradtionel songs and Dancetunes with new songs (most of them written by Peter and Colin Wilkie) so the audience never knows what is new or old.
PlanetZoe never leaves their accoutic rootes but adds violin, viola and cello. The melting of a "dadgad tuned" guitar and mandoline with the graceful classical arrangements of the strings and fullfilled with the very unique sound of the button accordeon creates a music which is headlined: Classic meets Folk.
PlanetZoe uses beautiful melodies and arrange them on top on a full soundcarpet, which reminds you of filmmusic, next moment of a chamberorchestra and next again it becomes simple and straight, impressive all time but not at all overloaded.
PlanetZoe tells tales about love, jealousy, labour and unemployment, about dissapointment and success – PlanetZoe sings about Life.
The Band never never forgets ist traditional roots. And with a good humour they have a funny view on their own living.
