CABARET DU CIELItalian music band from Treviso, Mainly founders : Andrea Desiderà and Luigi Morosin.It developed and researched bald connections with videoart and ambient music as soundtrack background. The first 2 demos were purely instrumental with ambient tones, soft electronic soundscapes:”Weather colours” and “Raintears” , both produced by the self-label Ionisation. Then , the band performed “Skies in the mirror” a soundtrack for slideshow in public.Good critics reviewed in the local press both for music and visuals. The band partecipated to the theme compilation “Imago sonora” with 3 tracks. Imago Sonora, was a theme compilation for imaginary soundtracks for art galleries and contemporary art visuals and installations, gained again good success in critics.Cabaret du ciel wanted to explore then, the song format in a more traditional way but not leaving the electronic tones towards a dream-pop tuning , and looked for a female singer, first found in Barbara Volpato , then some tracks were sung by (sometimes sampled) Romina Salvadori (former Antinomia, and Estasia, now Ran), the final singer was Silvia Marton . Cabaret du ciel partecipated in Rock contest vinile 1993, reaching the prize of a professional studio recording for 1 track .They recorded “Sin” : a dream-pop track echoeing shoegazer, Lush-like tones.
