Layout by:The Sofia Wind Orchestra is founded in 1949 year.The Orchestra has confirmed itself as the most rapresentative Bulgarian wind orchestra with luxuriant constructive history.In its repertoire the Orchestra includes musical compostians form various styles and periods-classic music,romantic,folk,jazz,orchestrations of 20--th century compositions-J.Strauss,A.Dvorjak,Fr.Shubert,P.I.Tchaikovsky, D.Shostakovich and many others.Many bulgarian composers have created compositions especially for the Sofia Wind Orchestra.Many famous bulgarian soloist have visited the Orchestra,such names as Nikolay Giaurov,Rayna Kabaivanska,Petko Radev and many popular bulgarian soloists also conductors like Vassil Ivanovich and Oigen Briksel. The Orchestra has reseived serious acknowledgment,conquering the first awards frin the festivals in Usper(Switzerland) and Shiklosh(Hungary).On 5-th CISM-Competition for Symphonic -Wind Orchestra and Fanfare Orchestra-14-16 July 200 in Schladming(Austria) under contudcting of Vesselin Baychev the orchestra fascinated with a perfect performance of bulgarian pieces by folk tunes.All it's concertst in Germany,The Czech Republic,Austria,Switzerland,France and have been welcomed witg enthusiasm and delight from the audience there.In 2006 The Orchestra was invited to made a concert in the hall of UN(The United Nations) in Geneva.
