We Dream of Trina

About Me

.. This page is dedicated to the memory of Trina C. Newton who parted the gates of heaven on October 16, 2006 after a short battle with colon cancer. In addition to using it as a place to reflect on Trina's memory, it is our hope that you accept her gift of knowledge and pass it on!
Trina was diagnosed and passed away at the age of 36. That's 14 years before she was even supposed to be tested. There are little or no symptoms, so you must become familiar with this disease and take action!!
Trina is severly missed!

I'd like to meet:

If you feel uncomfortable talking about it...imagine how uncomfortable you would feel having it...
Cancer of the colon and rectum (lower portions of the large intestine) may not get as much press as breast or prostate cancers, but colorectal cancer does have the dubious distinction of being the third most common cancer in the United States and the second leading cause of cancer death. Colon cancer claims the lives of about 50,000 men and women a year--that's far too many considering that almost no one need die of it. Screening methods can pick up the disease at its earliest, most curable stages.
