Mantra Theatre was established in 1997 by a group of Thai artists from diverse areas of expertise with an objective to promote an appreciation and understanding of Thai classical performing arts in the United States by combining Thai and Western styles of recognize the distinctive characteristics of the four main regions of Thailand identified through exotic sounds, brilliant costumes and gracious dance movements.
