Sloppy Jazz BBQ

Sloppy Jazz BBQ is a collective of musicians from America's west coast who are dedicated to the idea of creative exploration of music and food! We like to hang out and Barbeque, listen to music, and come up with radical, experimental concepts for performances, albums, projects, etc. Sloppy Jazz BBQ was formed in April off 2007 to perform Daniel Rosenboom's "Book of Riddles" - a 55-minute, 17-musician, prog-rock/jazz suite. In the composer's words, "'Book of Riddles' is a confluence of confusion, complexity, character, construction, and chaos. It is a testament to the light of night, and dark of day, to the child’s corruption and the adult’s innocence. A rag-tag ensemble of slick minstrels and slimy sirens slides smoothly through mud and majesty for a simple search…what is it."
