About Me

Gavin Coulson and Tim Gillespie were a bit fed up with playing METAAAALL!, so some time back in 2006, Gav brought his Giant Bits-- to bear on the talents of pointy-hairded bassist Liz Hunter and the three of them munged together to form Black Abba.
The band played Abba (of course), and lots of other music best described as "guilty pleasures" from the '70s and '80s. Jolly good.
Unfortunately, a certain proportion of the audience were turning up expecting an Abba tribute band, and songs by the likes of Sparks, Men at Work and Blondie left them confused and frightened. So the band changed its name. There you go.
