About Me

From the suburbs of Philadelphia, Chris Despo’s red hair isn’t the only thing that stands out in the mix of today’s musicians. He has performed at many college and coffeehouse venues in the tri-state area. Some venues include WXPN’s World Cafe Live, Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Center accompanying members of the Philadelphia Orchestra, Burlap and Bean, The North Star Bar, University of Delaware, Widener University, and Philadelphia University.Despo’s music is of an acoustic rock/pop genre that is heavily influenced by music of the Dave Matthews Band, Jason Mraz, Coldplay, and Damien Rice. He is currently working on his first fully produced album with Silvertone Studios.Chris has been featured in local newspapers and magazines including Play Magazine, Philadelphia Style Magazine, and the News of Delaware County. With “honest and sincere lyrics about love and life,” Chris Despo brings energy and emotion to every performance.
