About Me

I have created this page in honour of the great talent that is Álvaro Bautista and speak on behalf of all of his fans when I say he is a star for the future. This site is for his supporters to unite and wish him good luck in every race.
Karina/ Stop Killing Dead Things (The site creator)
Álvaro Bautista was born 21 November 1984 in Talavera de la Reina, Spain. He currently competes in the 250cc class of the Grand Prix Motorcycle World Championship for the MVA Aspar Aprilia team. He made his race debut in 2002 and his first podium came at Donington Park in his second full season in 2004. In 2006 he won the 125cc World Championship,  and celebrated in style by wearing a Superman style cape and t-shirt then ripped the number nine from the front of his bike to reveal cartoon of himself named 'SuperBati'.

Álvaro in action
The 24 year-old from Talavera, Spain, made his debut into Grand Prix motorcycle racing in 2002; a season which saw him take second position overall in the Spanish 125cc Championship.
The following season, Bautista took 20th place in the 125cc World Championship - his two best results being a 4th at Phillip Island (Austrailia) and sixth in Valencia (Spain).
In 2004,  Álvaro scored his first podium finishes. A 2nd position at Donington Park (Great Britain) and 3rd places at Losail (Qatar), Sepang (Malaysia) and Valencia.
After a disappointing 2005 season, Bautista bounced back better than ever. 2006 saw him crowned 125cc World Champion with rounds to spare; he broke numerous records and won an incredible eight races that season.
Álvaro Bautista moved up to the quarter litre class for 2007 and impressed everyone with his speed, determination and most of all - talent.
Bautista had two wins in the 250cc class in his debut season; his maiden victory was in Italy, at Mugello, when reigning 250 World Champion Jorge Lorenzo crashed into the gravel on the last lap during an exciting battle with the number 19 rider. His second win came in Portugal, at Estoril, after making his way throught the field from a disasterous start which saw him in 12th place at the end of the first lap.
2008 proved a little more difficult with a run of bad luck and several crashes for the Spaniard, but he managed four wins (Estoril, Assen, Misano and Sepang) and a string of consecutive podiums in the latter half of the season.
We hope to see him progress further in this 2009 season; to of course win the world championship title come the end of the year. He is a huge talent and is undoubtedly one of the shining stars in MotoGP's future!
