Disen Gage

About Me

In brief - The band was born in 1999. The current line-up was formed in 2004. We have done three CD-albums with RAIG label. We play instrumental guitar-based music. We like people laughing, shouting loud, and dancing… but hope someone will ask himself after the show “what was this buzz all about?” or “were they serious?”. You are welcome to listen/download our albums from DG site and/or purchase the CD's from from RAIG . Thank you for your interest and support! What else… oh yeah, we prefer playing our shows sitting comfortably.

Disen Gage "...the reverse may be true" (2008) / R036 CD, RAIG

10 tracks - 57 min.

Disen Gage "Libertage" (2006) / R017 CD, RAIG

7 tracks - 57 min.

"Since their debut album, the instrumental guitar-driven prog group Disen Gage has taken a left-field turn in a more improvisational direction. The new album is decidedly less concise, more exploratory and, undeniably, more experimental. The album does require concentrated listening. It would probably be useless and annoying as background music but when properly listened to, preferably in darkness with headphones, the music has the ability to transport the listener. (Conclusion: 7 out of 10)" – by Mark Hughes of DPRP (UK)

"Instead of composing songs in a painstaking way, Disen Gage decided to leave that part for the recording session, meaning that they just supply a general sonic construct which leaves plenty of room for improvisation... The sheer number of elements, ranging from prog to avant-garde or from fusion to contemporary music, allows Disen Gage to add a sense of adventure to their still rather structured improvisations. (Grade 7/10)" – DISAGREEMENT (Luxembourg)

Disen Gage "The Screw-Loose Entertainment" (2004) / R004 CD, RAIG

13 tracks - 52 min.

"Disen Gage have come up with an interesting and worthwhile album. Lovers of guitar music with a twist a la the Crimsos should seriously consider checking the album out... (Conclusion: 7 out of 10)" – by Mark Hughes of DPRP (UK)

"Disen Gage don't limit themselves to be inspired by Fripp's guitar sound and polyrhythmic complexity, they also are strongly rooted in fusion jazz, with especially the bass guitar creating an earthy sound, and the drums don't shy away from complicated percussive moments... Absolutely recommended for fans of smart instrumental progressive music. (Grade 9/10)" – DISAGREEMENT (Luxembourg).
