ADRIANA studied Jazz music at the Hilversum School of Arts. During her study (‘90) she received the prestigious WESSEL ILCKEN JAZZ AWARD for best up coming talent of the year. The only vocalist and woman to ever have won this award. She used her study to develop music by training her voice within a variety of styles. Next to Jazz, Fusion and Brazilian she also performed with Bigbands (a.o. the SKYMASTERS) under leadership of a.o. Erik van Lierop, Jerry van Rooyen and Rob Pronk. Played many projects and festivals like the MONTREUX JAZZ FESTIVAL. Graduating in 1992 as well as teacher as artist/musician.From 1995 until 1998 toured (Europe) as singer/performer with the Afro-American black gospel musical "THE GLORY OF GOSPEL". People like RHETTA HUGHES (Dreamgirls), MICHELLE DAVID (Mama, I want to sing), FRED GRIPPER (A night at the cotton club, MD) and MABEL ROBINSON (Choreographer The Wizz,), were a new school to her, the American way, discipline, devotion and passion for the business as well as on a personal level! Strength, courage, growth and love for Black Gospel.In the summer of ‘96 traveling to Pittsburgh (USA) to attend THE JAMES CLEVELAND GOSPEL WORKSHOP! Attended gospel piano, Mass Choir and Choir conducting and music theory. During this workshop I saw many performe and met KIRK FRANKLIN, LASHUN PACE. From1994 until 2000 "Loud and Proud Gospel Choir". Since 2001 part of the divine "MICHELLE DAVID & THE SOUNDS OF FAITH", (visit www.INSPIRATIONALRADIO.NET) ’05 worked with "THE NEW GOSPEL SENSATION", GOSPELPODIUM BAND (Frans Terberg), 'THE BERGET LEWIS GOSPEL TRAIN. JAZZmusic from 1997 with 'THE DUTCH JAZZ ORCHESTRA " touring the theaters with Toon Roos, Marjory Barnes, Ack of Rooyen and other Jazz musicians. BILLY STRAYHORN (DUKE ELLINGTON) was one of the many projects they brought.Other great people & groups I worked with: CARLO D'WYS & THE VOICES Of SOUL (NSJ 1997), JAN TEKSTRA, XANDER DE BUISONJE, MARCO BORSATO (Italian period), AIS LAWALATA TRIJNTJE, GORDON & REPLAY, DJ JOSE vs. G-SPOT (II SYMBOLS, ACCESS both top 30 hits), SHE GOT GAME EXTENDED (LEONIE JANSEN at the ROYAL MARRIAGE of W.A. & M, NELSON MANDELA "FARANANI" FREEDOM AWARD), * where I got to meet Nelson Mandela I felt very honored! * SISTER SLEDGE, COOL & THE GANG (tour & tv), ANGIE STONE (tv NPS 2 meter session + arr.) OLETA ADAMS (Dreamgirls tour) and many other national and international artists in the backing and/or as the front woman.Other “sung” STUDIO WORK as in COMMERCIALS (NESCAFE, McDonalds, CHEVROLET), STATION JINGLES RADIO (a.o. Y&RNJF www.yrnotjustfilm.nl) and BACKINGS for artist recordings as a.o. (TREAT, XANDER DE BUISONJE, RENE FROGER, GORDON, REPLAY, ANDRE v. DUIN, NATALIA, DO, LAURA FYGI, GERARD JOLING, BASTIAAN RAGAS, FLOORTJE, RAFAELA and many more) As an all-round musician, I see the importance of always growing and learning in the interest of our talent by experience to also develop a high standard in other disciplines as; WRITING & ARR (SONGS, VOCALS a.o.Volumia), COACHING motivating singers, artists, people, projects a.o. JUST THE TWO OR US (tv), SUMMERSTAGE Amsterdam. TEACHING (POPSCHOOL A' DAM, MSA, SCHOOL OF ARTS).In ’99 started doing backings for diff. artist at THE NATIONAL SONGFESTIVAL. Entered in 2004 as a soloist qualifying for the finals!
