Our music is created with mood and good intentions. Most of the meanings behind the lyrics fit to the melody of the songs. In a lot of ways it puts you through a thought or a feeling.
As you listen you can almost imagine what is going on inside our heads sincenothing stays entirely consistent. From sad to frantic, mysterious or excited, the music created by In Pictures paints a mural… many murals. In Pictures was established somewhere along the year of 2000 when Matt picked up a flyer that Edward had posted. Jonathan was a big recovery from losing our Bassist a year later. From then on we’ve continued to play
at some of the best venues in the Twin Cities considering ourselves to be very lucky to do so.
We enjoy doing what we do, and most of all, we are having fun doing it.

"Allow In Pictures take you through the eerie reality of their self-titled and first record. Matt Brunner’s vocal range and guitar, Jonathan Jauquet’s bass along with Edward Hiykel’s percussion echo of Radiohead. This well-balanced mix took place in Minneapolis’ up-and-coming Minor 7 Studios and leaves the listener anticipating the next song, culminating with haunting resolve in the lyrically universal “Song A.â€' --------- Kristine Lambert - howwastheshow.com
"Dig In Pictures. Cool and clever inter-weaving chordal and melodic rock. Definitely a band to check out and be inspired by." --------------------- Brent Paschke - Spymob/N.E.R.D./Artist/Producer
"It is extremely hard not to bring up the camparison of Radiohead when discussing In Pictures self-titled debut album. Particularily when the first paragraph of their bio suggests that this would be what Radiohead's next album would have sounded like "if Radiohead had continued developing the guitar rock they had on "The Bends". Thats not a bad thing considering its the best thing Radiohead ever did, but I think it pigeonholes In Pictures to a place where they can't escape. Regardless of how well produced or well crafted the tracks are, within the first few measures of hearing the disc you are thinking Radiohead and that doesn't leave you for the rest of the album. A good thing for these guys is that they do what they do well, and while you might think of another band while hearing them, you aren't thinking of a crappy version of that band. These guys play well and have developed a nice sound. Vocalist Matt Brunner has a strong voice that does justice to all the tracks, and while the tonality of the album is like "The Bends" the tunes are original. I was digging on "In Memory Of", "Suffering Elegant" and the downtrodden vibe of "Song A". These guys are going to carry a lot of baggage by sounding a lot like Radiohead, but for a lot of people that is good baggage to carry."--------- Nelson Heise - Rift Magazine, February 2007
