.. Last time I checked, I wasn't 15 anymore and neither were my peers for that matter. Yet, it is amazing how people continue to act as though gossip and slander is in style and they have to make sure to get as much use out of these two nasty habits before they are out of season. Here's the thing. I refuse to relieve anyone of their own negativity by allowing myself to feel anything but sorrow for the women whose lives revolve around bringing others down. I know who I am, and what I am about and if that makes me stuck-up then I'm alright with that. I am kind and intelligent, my life is not miserable, I am incredibly grateful for what I have, and I treat the ones I love with unending respect. If this makes me a target for jealousy then so be it. Understand this. If you're going to dislike me, or say untrue things about me, you better have a damn good reason for doing so. And "damn good reason" does not include: a)One of your friends disliking me. b) The guy you like mentioning that I'm cute. c)You locking eyes with me on some night, somewhere, and me not smiling. Women, we should be supporting each other, not bringing eachother down. It's hard enough to be a chick without having other chicks using your life as fodder for their circle of gossip and hate. If I had a dollar for every untrue rumor I've heard about myself I would be purchasing an island somewhere in the Pacific. It's a small town we live in. I know you're bored. But how about this...whenever you feel that itch to say something nasty about a beautiful person, use that energy to do something positive for yourself instead. Go read a book, educate yourself, or work out. You'll find that improving yourself will lead to less insecurity which undoubtedly fuels that fire of jealousy you've got blazing. Let it go. Do you. Staring at my light is a waste of your time, concentrate on yourself before you go blind!!!
