Sketching an occasional picture for fun, between raising and homeschooling my two children, working as a hairstylist, helping clean stalls, groom horses, and being the #1 fan of my horse trainer husband, I did not realize I was being educated in art. While at a horse show I saw some pencil art work, I said to my husband Chuck, "I wonder if I could do that?" He replied "I know you can". So I went home and put pencil to paper and it was not half bad. It had been awhile since I had drawn, but during that time I was being educated. Doing hair - horse and human - had taught me how hair lays on a subject. Watching Chuck showed me the perspective of a true horseman. Working in the barn helped me to understand the perspective of the animals. Working with my children had helped me to see things from someone else’s eyes. When you see things from others' point of view, it gives you new insight and inspiration.
