Geronimo, tenor, has been a college dean, professor, entrepreneur, author,politician, and corporate financial executive prior to his recent relocation to sunny Florida.Roger began singing, strictly for fun, at the age of 40 ! In 1992 he met world renowneddramatic tenor, John Shackelford, who’s unique vocal technique helped propel Rogeronto the professional stage. Mr. Shackelford studied and perfected this techniquefrom MET Heldon tenor James King and from, arguably, the greatest tenor of all-time, Franco Corelli.A brief list of Roger’s professional equity performances include Guys and Dolls, Peter Pan,the Shubert Opera Company & Tampa Opera under the baton of the legendary opera conductor, Maestro AntonCoppola, Stage II Opera Company which Roger created with John Shackelford,performances with Skitch Henderson and countless solo concerts, charity events,and his now famous concert “Sinatra Meets Lanza†with baritnoe crooner Ralph Greico.His favorite opera roles include Canio in I Pagliacci, Turiddu in Cavalleria Rusticana,Eisenstein in Die Fledermaus, Cavaradossi and Spoletta in Tosca, Germont in La Traviata,and Rudolfo in La Boheme.Roger can be heard every Thursday from 1 – 3 PM as a classical broadcaster for WFCF 88.5Flagler College Radio.Roger has also acted in professional commercials for Time-Warner and ATT, and infull-length motion pictures.As a boy, Roger remembers his dad playing scratchy 78’s of the legendary tenor, EnricoCaruso, and LP’s of the incomparable Mario Lanza never dreaming that one day he’d be singingthe very same songs and arias.Roger dedicates all his performances to his mom, daughter Kristin, brother Dennis,wife Debbie, and all his family, friends and supporters –But especially to the memory of his dad who energizes from above.
