MAMA

About Me

The MAMA sound was conceived at The Church of Rock and Roll in Denver, Colorado by the Rev. Jonny Barber on guitar and bass, Leonomadic on vocals and harmonica, and Chris "Squaredogg" Woodward on the drums. Together, they created MAMA's first album, Bayoutopia.

Leonomadic, a wanderer by nature, then travelled the world looking for his ideal lineup to take the music to the people.

He brought together a fearless union of musicians. MAMA explores, with rare chance, these masters of mileage and debauchery by twisting American blues roots into heaping, knarled piles of heavy metal. MAMA has earned their freedom to song-write in collaboration, having individually traveled the country as well as hot spots over seas with past units and pro session gigs. And together now, at last, MAMA will run at you, pick you up and hold you hostage within their story. These fellas ain’t lying to you folks. This is new blues…real blues … from the backyards, cold streets and wide-open spaces of 21st century planet earth. Cause, you better walk on through a garden if you gonna sing about it….else you better stay home and wait for the circus.

Come with us and let us escort you to the next caravan, baby…!
