It was a very different scene then what we finally ended up with. There was a point where Herbert Marshall and I had a kind of philosophical discussion about what we should do with my brother-in-law (David Hedison), who is a fly with a human head. Now I don't know how many flies you see around the house with human heads, or brother-in-laws, for that matter. But we were playing this scene, looking at the fly saying, "should we kill it? Should we save it?" and we could never quite get the lines out, because every time that little voice of the fly would say, "help me. Please, help me," we would just scream with laughter. It was terrible. We ended up doing about 20 takes.
