Thomas M. Yeahpau is the name and story is my game. I write, direct, edit, score, and produce all of my work. So far it has been mostly short films, documentaries, and a few music videos, but I see a feature in my horizon.
I am still a little fresh off my contract with ABC/Disney Studios as a TV writer. Right now though, I am concentrating on independent work. But I do miss Hollywood and hope to be back one day, but not right now. I grew up in Anadarko, OK and graduated from Riverside Indian School, yeah, I'm rugged, lol. I also went to Haskell Indian Nations University and lived in Lawrence, KS for awhile. Then I headed out to Los Angeles where I lived last before coming back to my roots here in Oklahoma recently. I'm full-blooded Native from the Kiowa Tribe. I am not your typical Native director, my work is very cutting edge and far from the stereotypical shit your used to seeing about Natives. Along with being a filmmaker, I am also a stage/film actor, an author, and a music producer for the hip-hop group N.D.N.S. (Nativez Doin Native Shit). My first book was published in October of 2006 by Candlewick Press and it is titled "X-INDIAN CHRONICLES." So far nothing but good reviews, a few haters. But telling a good story is a priority of mine. Storytelling runs in my veins like crack and I need to tell a good story as much as a crackhead needs to smoke crack. Holla
