About Me

We all have a place in our hearts where we carry memories of our youth. When you hear Bill Keale sing, you know right away that his youth was shaped by his native Hawaii and how seamlessly his music transcends into the mainstream. Bill Keale was born on Oahu and raised near the shores of Kailua Bay. It is here that he began singing and writing songs. In part because it was family tradition. His Great, Great, Grandfather dedicated his life to the music and spirit of his home on the Island of Niihau. Bill's uncle, Moe Keale, one of Hawaii's most beloved entertainers, is an icon in his own right. Bill's cousin was Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole, who's rendition of Somewhere Over the Rainbow and A Wonderful World captivated and inspired us all. It was from this heritage that Bill discovered his own healing gift. Bill's music comes straight from his soul, and is filled with laughter and joy. The stories in the songs are his life. People feel them as much as they hear them. One moment you soar the next shed a tear, but always his music takes us to that place where we hold the memories that have touched us most in life. It is not often you find something that resonates all the way to your soul. Something that is still pure. That transports you to a place of joy and innocence. Listening to Bill Keale makes it a little easier to get there. And stay a bit longer...Bill has achieved both the "Best of Central Oregon" Singer/Songwriter and "Best Local Musician" Awards and appeared on "The Oregon Art Beat" TV program on OPB as a featured Artist and has recently signed with JVC Victor Entertainment for promotion and distribution of his latest CD "With Aloha" in Japan. This Album features his new song inspired by Hawaii's Pipeline Master and surfing legend Gerry Lopez entitled, "A Surfer's Song". The song was chosen to be in Gerry's new movie.
