Lacey Bond

We first saw Lacey in the 80's as a member of the all girl group "Toto Coleo" which had great success with the catchy song "I eat cannibals" It reached number 8 in the UK charts and was a number 1 chart topper in many countries

Lacey moved on to form a new band, The Body Band, which was snapped up by P.W.L. unfortunately he snapped up Kylie and Jason at the same time so the girls were never released, They did however go to a lot of parties and had a thoroughly good time, Thanks Pete, I had a lot of fun !In 1990 Lacey returned to her second love, acting, She had previously appeared as a child actress in the hit show Grange Hill. Now she landed a part in the musical Pump Boys and Dinettes, and toured the UK with Joe Brown and the cast.She found the theatre as very much in her blood and began to focus more on her acting career. Over the next four years she trod the boards the length and breadth of the country, appearing in a variety of roles as diverse as a prison convict to a dizzy receptionist. Drama, comedy, farce, she did them all, yes well this is the mad business they call "show" !!!!!In 1994 Lacey finally took some time out from her hectic lifestyle and got married to of all people a Police Officer !! not long after came thier beautiful daughter Amy. Raising a child gave Lacey time to reflect on her career choices and when Amy was old enough she elected to return to acting as her chsen profession.She has regularly been popping up on our tv screens in many diverse roles in commercials and comedy programmes, she also landed a role in "The Calcium Kid" starring Orlando Bloom having in the folm to slam a door in his face (not many women get to do that) she also starred in Messages (Jeff Fahey) and just finished a Ghostly thriller called "The Shadow Within" which is due for release next summer.Lacey has never forgotten her first love, singing . . and never misses an opportunity to flex her strong Rock n Roll vocal chords at any opportunity. A friend told her "Girl you've got a great album in you, Go make it " so she finally put pen to paper and joined forces with the fabulous production team at SVL prods (Stevie Vann Lange) and went for it !!!Lacey feels that just because she's in her early 40's that shouldnt stop her. Oldies buy goodies too, so why should she not make one, life is too serious and too short. Lacey likes to write songs with humour and a sense of fun, if you like it, you'll buy it ! so look out for the album, video's and who knows one day the "Grammys". . . . HA I WISH !
