Joe live between Cardiff and Shrewsbury and currently studies Jazz at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. He's been lucky to have lessons with British players such as Iain Ballamy, Geoff Simkins, Dave Cliff, Lee Goodall, Ivo Neame, Nick Weldon. And to have materclasses from great players such as Uri Caine, Tom Rainey, Michael Formanek, Jeff Williams, Bobo Stenson and british players Martin Speake, John Taylor, Julian Arguelles.
Joe is currently part of a newly formed Cardiff/Newport based music collective, Collective Subconscious, currently creating a platform for new local bands to play and share their musical ideas. He is concentrating on playing with my new quartet, In The Fabric, (Joe Northwood - Saxes, Dan Messore - Guitar, Aidan Thorne - Double Bass, Ollie Howell - Drums) and in a Sax/Guitar duet with Stuart Power.

Joe is also beginning to teach to younger musicians that are just starting out and is always open to take on new students.
I play on a P.Mauriat tenor (PMST-66, Vintage Series) and a Yanagisawa alto (A902, bronze).
