About Me

The Planet Bag is a roomy cotton grocery tote.Cotton shopping bags help the environment by eliminating disposable plastic and paper grocery and retail bags. Disposable plastic bags are made from oil, and paper bags are of course, made from trees. The amount of money and waste required to manufacture, transport, and dispose of plastic and paper bags is an enormous waste that is easily avoided by just bringing your own bag.If we all started using cotton bags just at the grocery store, in one year, the USA would save having to make either 144 BILLION plastic or 78 BILLION paper bags! The amount of mature trees needed to make that many paper bags per year would be a forest 11 times the size of Manhattan! The Planet Bag artwork is a line art version of the watercolor painting titled, "Our Planet," by world renowned artist, Scott L. Hendrie. It features animals and landmarks from all over the world. We are proud and honored to have such a beautiful image on our totes! For more of Scott's work, please visit his official website at: www.scottlhendrie.comFor more on The Planet Bag, please visit www.ThePlanetBag.com
