From: GODS SERVANT Defender of GODS Children!
Date: Oct 25, 2007 10:38 PMADDICTIONMany parents need to wake up to the fact that teen drug addiction
may be as close as their own home.No one wants to believe that their kid is doing drugs. But the reality is that a large percentage of teens
try some type of drug at least once. That is why it is so important to keep the
lines of communication open with teenagers, something that is difficult to do when their
hormones are raging and they are so confused about their lives. There are a number of reasons why a teenager might try drugs.Peer pressure is one of the leading causes,
which cause teens to experiment. When a normally responsible teen hears
over and over again from their friends,"Hey, it's just one pill (hit / drink).Don't be such a stick in the mud,"chances are that they will eventually cave in and try it.Seeing the acceptance of their peers, they will try it again and again.Eventually, they are hooked and teen drug addiction takes hold of their lives. No specific profile exists for a teenage drug user.
The stereotypical hoodlum or bad boy doesn't apply anymore.Teen drug addiction can be found in the high school cheerleader orvaledictorian just as much as in the class troublemakers.Drugs do not discriminate. That is why parents or other adult role models
need to effectively communicate with teenagers.Teens may appear not to listen,
but they definitely hear what the adults are saying.THE NATURE OF ADDICTION“Addiction†tends to be quite typical of human behaviour.
Biologists suggest that “pleasure pathwaysâ€in the brain developed to ensure that humans engage in seeking food, sexual reproduction and other activities that encourage our survival. We can all develop a level of compulsion that draws us to a particular substance or activity. For some, it may be working seven day weeks even though it destroys a relationship and family life. For others, it may be constantly over eating and then deliberately vomiting.Others will use illicit drugs to a point where it is causing major disruptions to their lives.Addiction has been defined as the “habitual psychological and physiological dependence on a substance or practice beyond one’s voluntary controlâ€*
Nowadays, drug and alcohol counsellors often refer to “levels of dependencyâ€, as “addiction†tends to suggest some cut off point at which you will suddenly be an ‘addict’.ValuesHow we define addiction, or high levels of dependency,
are based on many value judgements. In western culture, an obsessive commitment
to work will still be viewed by many as a highly desirable attribute, even if it has devastated a family.
Different drugs will elicit different
attitudes from the general community. The young fitter and turner who drinks himself to a stupor most weekends, and occasionally winds up in the watchhouse on drunk and disorderly charges, may be still be seen as a likeable larrakin by many in the community.A young professional charged with possession of heroin, which he smokes only on weekends, is likely to be viewed in a much more negative way by society. Some theorists suggest many ‘addictions’ are not necessarily a problem.A buddhist concept may see trivial attachments are at the root of much human suffering. Is it beyond control?Society tends to demonise certain addictions, particularly those to do with illicit drugs. There is a tendency to assume the addict is out of control due to the high price being paid. The teenage gamer gets a real buzz from computer games, and may be willing to forego friends, fitness, sleep and family connections for this buzz. The heroin user may be willing to pay a very high price as well, to keep that pleasurable rush coming every day.Illicit drugs are not evil chemicals in themselves, that automatically cause users to lose control. There is usually a choice involved, but non-users will often be unable to grasp that someone would take the risks involved. For example, if a heavy user of speed or heroin was locked away in a detox program against their will, chances are they will be heading out to score again on discharge. The physical addiction was powerful, but the psychological dependence is a very strong factor as well. The two faces of addictionDrug dependency is commonly seen as having two factors involved:a physical dependence (characterised by symptoms of withdrawal) and a psychological dependence .Many drugs can precipitate a pattern of conditions recognised as addiction, which include a craving for more of the drug, increased physiological tolerance to the drug, and withdrawal symptoms in its absence. Most drugs that directly provide either pleasure or relief from pain pose a risk of dependency.Physical dependency on a substance is defined by the appearance of characteristic withdrawal symptoms when the drug is suddenly discontinued. Some well known examples here are opioids, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, alcohol, caffeine and nicotine. Some highly addictive drugs, such as cocaine, induce relatively less physical dependence. So while physical dependency can be a major factor in the psychology of addiction, the primary attribute of an addictive drug is its ability to induce euphoria while causing harm. Some drugs induce physical dependence or physiological tolerance but not addiction.Examples include many laxatives, which are not psychoactive; nasal decongestants, which can cause rebound congestion if used for more than a few days in a row;and some antidepressants, most notably Effexor and Paxil, as they have quite short half-lives,so stopping them abruptly causes a more rapid change in the neurotransmitter balance in the brain than many other antidepressants. Many non-addictive prescription drugs should not be suddenly stopped, so a doctor should be consulted before abruptly discontinuing them.Psychological dependency is a dependency of the mind, and lead to psychological withdrawal symptoms.Addictions can theoretically form for any rewarding behaviour, but typically only do so in individuals with emotional, social,or psychological dysfunctions, taking the place of normal positive stimuli not otherwise attained. The distinction between the two kinds of addictions, however, is not always easy to make. Addictions often have both physical and psychological components. The speed with which a given individual becomes addicted to various substances varies with the substance, the frequency of use, the means of ingestion, and the individual. For example, some alcoholics report they exhibited alcoholic tendencies from their first drink, whereas many can drink socially without ever becoming addicted.BEFORE AND AFTER.Getting back in controlIf the costs of your habit are outweighing the positive side, it can help to talk with a counsellor. Many support organisations take a harm reduction approach, meaning they won’t simply try to get you off drugs. For example, QuIHN’s approach is simply to provide a range of options to help you make informed decisions. You may want to continue as you are but just get some tips on reducing the problems and harm from your habit.Alternatively, you may want to reduce your use to a more manageable level, or get off completely. In either case, QuIHN can help show all the different options you have when you make your decision.Where faith is - there is courage, there is fortitude, there is steadfastness and strength. . . .Faith bestows that sublime couragethat rises superior to the troubles and disappointments of life, that acknowledges no defeat except as a step to victory;that is strong to endure, patient to wait, and energetic to struggle. . . .Light up, then, the lamp of faith in your heart. . . .It will lead you safely through the mists of doubt and the black darkness of despair;along the narrow, thorny ways of sickness and sorrow, and over the treacherous places of temptation and uncertainty.
BEFORE AND AFTER.The word "addiction" has two basic meanings. The first definition, and the one most of us are familiar with today is,“To cause to become physiologically or psychologically dependent on a habit-forming substance.†Those who are addicted or“given to much wine†(Titus 1:7, 2:3),“drunkards†(1 Timothy 3:3)or “heavy drinkers†(1 Timothy 3:8)are disqualified from teaching or holding a position of authority in the church. It’s clear that church leadership needs to be sober and self-controlled so that, by their example, they can teach others to be the same, for we know that “drunkards…shall not inherit the kingdom of God†(1 Corinthians 6:10).Believers must not be dependent upon alcohol, and it stands to reason that this would also apply to addiction to any other substance, i.e.drugs,pornography,gambling,gluttony,tobacco, etc.The second definition of addiction is “To occupy (oneself) with or involve (oneself) in something habitually or compulsively.†This speaks of an unnatural (for the Christian at least) obsession with anything other than God:sports,work,shoppingand/or acquiring “stuff,â€even family or children. We are to “love the Lord, your God, with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might†(Deuteronomy 6:5),which is, according to Jesus, the first and greatest commandment (Matthew 22:37-38).We can deduce, then, that an addiction to anything other than God Himself is wrong. God is the only thing we can (and should) occupy ourselves with habitually. To do so with anything else draws us away from Him and displeases Him. He alone is worthy of our complete attention, love, and service. To offer these things to anything or anyone else, is idolatry.GOD BLESS YOU

Also, that if you are one having trouble with addictions, alcohol abuse or domestic, through God all can change. One has to look in the mirror, see there own mistakes and choices, and forgive. Instead of the blame upon others, forgive all, ask for your own forgiveness, and change the heart and soul within. You can not do it alone, so seek another who can, Your Lord Jesus Christ. He can heal you within and is the only one who can heal another. He is the Mighty Counselor!
Lord have mercy,
Lord have mercy,
You who take away the sins of the world;
Grant them peace,
Grant them peace,
Lamb of God, Lamb of God
Lamb of God, Lamb of God
You who take away the sins of the world;
Grant them peace,
Grant them peace,
Peace everlasting, everlasting

The Lord's anger burned against Uzzah, and He struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God. - 1 Chronicles 13:10
A friend of mine confessed that he did not like to read. He found it a difficult discipline. I replied, "If you do not commit yourself to knowing what is in God's Word and following it, you will fail to know and experience God. God's Word is life to our souls. It provides knowledge that leads to life." The prophet Hosea tells us, "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also reject you as My priests; because you have ignored the law of your God, I also will ignore your children" (Hos. 4:6).

God has given us His Word that has specific laws and principles that must be followed if we expect His blessing. King David forgot to follow one of those laws related to the ark. "...But they must not touch the holy things or they will die..." (Num. 4:15). When they were transporting the ark, Uzzah innocently reached to steady the ark but was immediately stricken dead when his hands touched the ark of God. Did David know this law or did he simply forget? Did Uzzah know this law? If so, did he really believe it? David thought it was okay to carry the ark the way Uzzah did. A man lost his life for his presumption.
Many believers I know take God's Word lightly. They believe they can violate His Word without consequence. This is not true; the Lord stands by to uphold His Word. It can be life, or it can bring death. When God provides instructions, we need to follow them.
Knowing this about God brings a healthy fear of the Lord. "David was afraid of God that day and asked, 'How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?' " (1 Chron. 13:12) We must all have a fearful respect of God's Word. For truly, it is life or death.
Do you take God's Word seriously? Is it life or death for you? Do you feed upon His Word daily so that you might know Him and know His precepts? Feed upon this knowledge and be blessed of God.

A sad poem about the reality of drinking and driving
I went to a party, Mom, I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom, so I drank soda instead
I really felt proud inside, Mom, the way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom, even though the others said I should.
I know I did the right thing, Mom, I know you are always right.
Now the party is finally ending
Mom, as everyone is driving out of sight.
As I got into my car, Mom, I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me, so responsible and sweet.
I started to drive away, Mom, but as I pulled out into the road,
the other car didn't see me, Mom, and hit me like a load.
As I lay there on the pavement, Mom, I hear the policeman say,
the other guy is drunk, Mom, and now I'm the one who will pay.
I'm lying here dying, Mom.. I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom? My life just burst like a balloon.
There is blood all around me, Mom, and most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom, I'll die in a short time.
I just wanted to tell you, Mom, I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom. The others didn't think.
He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank and I will die.
Why do people drink, Mom? It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now. Pains just like a knife.
The guy who hit me is walking, Mom, and I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying and all he can do is stare.
Tell my brother not to cry, Mom. Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom, put "Daddy's Girl" on my grave.
Someone should have told him, Mom, not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom, I would still be alive.
My breath is getting shorter, Mom. I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom. When I needed you, you were always there.
I have one last question, Mom, before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive, so why am I the one to die?

How many times does it take before one see's it is only God through Christ who can and will save them from thier bondages and/or addictions here on earth, and they decide to seek him?
Answer: once
No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.

What is the greatest of fears one has when they first turn there will and lives over to Jesus Christ, and except him as Lord and Savior?
Answer: That the Lord will not find their loved ones.
It is an unfounded fear...see above, and:
Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.
Isa 45:22-23 KJV)
Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure which he hath purposed in himself: That in the dispensation of the fullness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him: In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will: That we should be to the praise of his glory, who first trusted in Christ.

GOD AS MY GUIDE
24 hours a day
Waking up to the spirit in each morning
Priority in mind is to You Father
Through Your Son I must start my day
Thy will be done you as my employer
With You this day my Savior I must carry
The cross that is given show me the way
With each foot forward giving to another
As the hours go by with the armor on
The sword I will carry with wounds abound
Throughout the struggles of each challenge
Looking up and calling out to You in pain
Always an answer comes if left up to You
To fear You Lord throughout this life
Faith to carry out Your wishes I pray
Your grace is what keeps me from death

HOLD ON, THE FIRE IS COMING!"
I received this WORD today outside of the myspace arena and am quickened in my Spirit to share it with others, for it is not only a WORD for myself for refreshing, but also for they whole body.
I was driven to prayer by the Holy Spirit--and it was urgent. A great burden came on me and I saw an open vision of many prophets from all over the world. Most were bruised and wounded men and women of God with their heads hanging low, almost ready to give in to defeat. Then from Heaven came an angel holding a large postcard, and it read: God Says: "WEARY PROPHETS, HOLD ON AND DON'T QUIT....
"Sometimes you've thundered My word and few have received it. Remember this, I was watching from Heaven, and I received it because I gave it to you (Isaiah 51:16). Often, you've trembled before My word was released from your mouth, not knowing if it would be accepted...but you spoke it anyway. There were those times when you wanted to throw in the towel, but you kept moving (Luke 9:62).
Remember that even Elijah was depressed and wanted to quit (1 Kings 19:4). Do not think this is a strange thing happening (1 Peter 4:12). You're in good company! Like Jeremiah who could not contain the fire I put within Him (Jeremiah 20:9), you also allowed My flaming words to be released.
New World Order: The Illuminati
Add to My Profile | More VideosSome of you, as you moved along in the ministry I called you into, saw restrained but obvious frowns--even on the faces of your own family. Still, you served Me. Yes, still you obeyed My calling for your life. You've learned never to quit in spite of getting weary and sometimes, you had to encourage yourself (1 Samuel 30:6) when no one else would. I now encourage you--Heaven has taken note and angels are being dispatched to help you because you did not quit! You would rather die than not fulfill My will for your life. You remind Me of a man called, "Paul" (Acts 20:24). And his anointing will be upon you."
God Says: "WEARY ONES, I'M PLEASED WITH YOU BECAUSE YOU GAVE MY WORD TO MANY HURTING ONES....
"You've left some places wondering, 'What was that all about? Did anything happen?' Mighty servant of Mine, do not be mistaken--you did move in My 'Super'natural gifting, but after some meetings, you started to look in the natural, forgetting My Super. Much did take place in the Spirit (Zechariah 4:6). Many children of Mine who were hurting, received fresh manna because of your obedience to the prophetic ministry I called you to, and many left the meeting renewed and strengthened for the battle because you stepped out on the water and obeyed Me.
You were on the mark! The enemy of your soul attacked you viciously because you damaged his kingdom and he suffered loss, but for you, it was gain (Matthew 16:18). Some of you have eaten the bread of affliction, but I rejoiced because even when you were 'under it,' you gave healthy portions of the Bread of Life to My wounded ones (John 6:35). Thank you."
God Says: "WEARY SERVANTS, REJECT THE CRITICISM, MANY IN HEAVEN ARE APPLAUDING....
"Many of My prophets who receive My approval, often receive man's rejection. As a prophet, don't expect to be voted, 'Man or woman of the year.' Some of you have looked at your calling as being small and insignificant--you couldn't be more wrong. Many of you have not become well-known on earth, but in Heaven, your name is celebrated. You've given some words that sounded (to you) like tin...but they were actually gold to the ones who received them (Proverbs 15:23).
I put (My) goodness in your mouth for weary souls and you did not withhold it from those to whom it was due (Proverbs 3:27). Because of your obedience to proclaim My word (even though few noticed), walls of hopelessness fell away from some and others suddenly gained strength to answer their calling--all because you rejected the criticism of doubters and allowed yourself to be fueled by Heaven cheering you on (Hebrews 12:1). You didn't fire back at the pessimists; instead, you simply loved them and moved on with your mission."
God Says: "SOME THINK THEY ARE APPROACHING THE SUNSET OF THEIR MINISTRY, THEY ARE WRONG....
New World Order
Add to My Profile | More Videos"A second wind is coming to refresh many (Psalm 147:18). Some prophets think they have 'missed it' and feel guilty. Yes, some have failed (2 Timothy 4:10), but many have been lied to (by satan), thinking that they failed Me when they have not! Your Holy Spirit inspired 'words' are producing changed lives, birthing divine destinies and encouraging many to keep fighting the good fight of faith. Some have thought nothing was gained and time was wasted, but you did not see My view. Never forget--I've called you to announce, pronounce and sometimes, denounce! From My perspective (and that's all that counts), you have spoken My words and stilled storms that raged in confused minds and hearts (Mark 4:39).
Instead of being weary, you will refresh the weary. Fire is coming. Many of your recipes say, 'add water,' and that is what I often do before I send My fire. I told Elijah to 'add water' three times before I sent the fire (1 Kings 18). At that time, there was a drought and water was precious, but Elijah knew the rains were coming. I've allowed some circumstances to 'throw water' on your ministry and life, so when I send the fire, you will know it was from Me! (1 Kings 18:41-46). Be weary no longer! Your ministry has Heaven's stamp of approval."
"My Word that goes out of My mouth, shall not return void, but shall accomplish what I please," (Isaiah 55:11).

PART 1 REVELATIONS TO COME!
THE LAND BECOMES A CURSE!
In Genesis, when Cain killed his brother Abel, a voice from Abel’s blood began crying up to God from the ground. Cain heard nothing, but God heard the cry of innocent blood (Genesis 4:10). Some Hebrew students have observed that the word “blood†is in the plural form, or literally the voice of your brother’s “bloods.†Rabbis teach that when Cain murdered Abel, he also murdered every child, grandchild, and future seed that would come from Abel’s loins!
DEFEATING THE ADVISARY!
Where does one go when in the Battles and attacks that come daily upon a man or woman? Where does the strength come from?

Every Christian has an enemy. Although unseen by the natural eye, this adversary is not imaginary nor a mythological character. Satan, the Devil, is a real person... a spirit being, with intelligence, tangible characteristics, and whose incessant goal and ambition is to “steal, kill, and destroy†(John 10:10).
By achristiansoulAround the clock the enemy is on the prowl, seeking to cause mayhem and destruction to all believers and the work of Jesus Christ throughout the world. With military-like strategy and ruthless hostility, the devil aggressively searches for weakness in our faith and spiritual life, hoping to devour us with deception, temptation, or oppression. He is the personification of all that is evil and is the author of every despicable work.
Regardless of whether you realize it, Satan has targeted you as a victim. He knows your name and address, your strengths and weaknesses. Somewhere in the shadows, he and his forces lurk, waiting, planing for the moment they will strike when you’re caught off-guard. He desperately hopes that you will, as many Christians, remain ignorant of his reality so that you’ll blame his assaults on somebody or something else.
His method of operation is almost always “undercover.†Subtly, he manipulates hindering circumstances and inspires evil thoughts or temptations, disguising his activities behind the shroud of people or things. He will always seek to divert attention and blame for his actions upon others. But make no mistake, he is the real enemy, not your husband, wife, employer, government or Christian brethren!“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places†(Ephesians 6:12).
Satan has no Rightful Authority over BelieversThe good news is that, although the Devil is described “like†a “roaring lion,†in reality he has no actual authority over believers. He is not really a lion, but roars “like†a lion would to bluff his victims into fear and intimidation. Satan is a liar and deceiver and uses deception as his weapon to gain advantage over those who are ignorant of the limitations of his power.
When Jesus gave his life on the cross as the sacrifice for the sins of the world, He also redeemed us from Satan’s power and dominion over us. “Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it†(Col. 2:15). “...For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil†(1 John 3:8). Praise God! Satan is already a defeated enemy! His legal authority was neutralized by the finished work of Christ on the cross.Every Believer has Authority over SatanSo if Satan is already defeated, why then is he still able to cause trouble? Because, even though Christ broke Satan’s legal power, the Lord has left it up to us to “enforce†the Devil’s defeated condition. It's our responsibility to use the authority that Christ has given us to put Satan in his place. As a believer, you need not fear Satan, but realize and exercise the authority which God has given you over the Devil. Every person whose name has been recorded in the “Lamb’s Book of Life†(all those who are saved) have been given authority over the power of the Devil. “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you†(Luke 10:19).You have the right to use the authority of the name of Jesus to repel and drive Satan out of your territory and to break his grip over spiritual strongholds (2 Cor. 10:4). When you recognize Satan’s activity and covert operations, take authority over him in the name of Jesus! Just as Jesus and the early apostles did, command Satan to leave (Mark 16:17).The Devil hates the name of Jesus and detests an atmosphere of praise and worship which exalts the name of Jesus. Christ said, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them†(Matt. 18:20). Be assured, the presence of Christ will expel the presence of Satan. Lifting up Jesus in praise will send the Devil running!Slam the Door on the DevilThe name of Jesus will drive Satan away. But it would be futile to order Satan’s departure if we leave the door wide open for him to flourish. The Bible tells us to not “give place†for the Devil (Eph. 4:27). That is, provide no area of your life where Satan can be comfortable or establish strongholds. The enemy can always be found working in those who entertain sin, disobedience, rebellion or a self-willed nature. Unforgiveness toward others is another area which Satan flourishes (2 Cor. 2:11). Furthermore, any area of your life which is not submitted to God is considered open territory to the Devil, and he has the right to bring his expanding influence to those areas. This is why the scripture says, “...submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you†(James 4:7). The only way to actually resist Satan is to submit yourself fully to God. This was what Jesus was referring to when He said, “...the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me†(John 14:30). Jesus had submitted himself to God, and although the Devil would try Him, there was nothing for the Devil to use to gain an advantage.Rejoice Children of God! God is in you, and YOU have been given power over the Devil! By submitting to God, and exercising your authority in the name of Jesus, you are more powerful than the enemy. “...He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world†(1 John 4:4).A Letter Given to Timothy, For All Those Who Have Ears To Hear
Jesus Christ Is King!
Jesus is the Lamb whom you shall call Christ. I have proclaimed Him from the beginning. He is the Beginning and the Ending. To Him have I given complete authority over life and death, condemnation and redemption.
Worthy is the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. Yeshua is the Gift...in Him is life. All others lead only into darkness and death, fleeing away from the True Light which is Christ Jesus. He is the wonderful new thing born of a virgin, as it is and was written. He is the fulfillment of all things, the only Messiah and Lord, fulfilling all written and spoken of Him from the beginning, being the same as God, begotten as the Son, fulfilling the Word which He is, and was, and is to come, the Word of God Almighty...
By the Word are you saved. And by the same Word, that you wicked have and will reject, shall you be slain therein. He who was smitten of God gave of Himself to the smiters so all nations under God might be saved through Him, which is the foundation and fulfillment of all prophecy...the end of which is the Kingdom, which is He, and by Him shall you enter, entering into that which is His joy forever and ever.

This is My Son in whom I am well pleased...listen to Him, for as the stars in the heavens are beyond the numbering of men, so then is He called Jesus, who being the Only Begotten of the Father, is the fulfillment of the Word of God and the prophets throughout all generations, whose fulfillment of which is also beyond the reason and comprehension of men's calculations fulfilled in a single man.
These things fulfilled in the Son of Man, being mentioned of a few, let it be a sign and awakening. To them of greater understanding, awakened to the knowledge of these things fulfilled in the Son of Man, prophesied, coming to light as a multitu
