Deus ex Machina

About Me

*MUSIC COMING SOON*
Why "Deus ex Machina"?:
Deus ex Machina is translated literally from latin as "God out of a machine" or "Gods from machines" we felt the name suits our style of electronically produced music. Given the correct technology for the job, we can craft music to the best of our ability.

Formed in spring 07, Matt and Guy are an unlikely pair of musical minds. Matt is into Trance and electronic music, whereas Guy prefers the smooth beats of Hip hop. However differences turn to creativity when fresh ideas collide bringing new ideas to the table and forging their own niche in the music industry, original yet marketable.
Matt: At 18 years old, Matt is the person behind the instruments in the studio. He is in charge of most of the sound design, arrangement, and production of the music (often sparked by Guy's inspiration) with the occasional singing part. With 6 years of music production and audio mastering experience behind him, armed with an idea he can make it become reality. He also goes under the other music production aliases, EverLight, and DJ Sea.
Guy: Guy is the lyrical mastermind behind DEM, he writes and records the lyrics for the songs and also has a keen eye in on the production. Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, pop culture, internet culture, and even Japanese culture, this 19 year old vocalist with 5 years experience has a lot going for him. While Matt provides the electronic and trance influences in the music, Guy provides the hip hop element that is crucial to the uniqueness of Deus ex Machina
