About Me

Greetings and thank you for visiting DUNAHMUS on MySpace.
Be sure and also check us out at www.youtube.com/dunahmus where we have videos up exclusively for our youtube page.
DUNAHMUS is not just a garage/basement band that has not been tried by fire or tested by the masses. With the release of their debut cd “?Y” they opened up to world wide public critiquing on GB.com.
The result? Ditch Digger climbed the charts and sat at number one!!! As they placed more and more tracks from their freshman release up… before they knew it they had five songs in the top twenty.

At this time you could tune into internet radio stations all over the web and hear this band from Flint Michigan… great stations such as 525.com & Braingell just to name a couple. Then magazines started taking interest… next thing you know they are doing interviews and showing up on the cover.
And the fan base only grew from there with their sophomore release of their self titled cd. The first track titled Reflux was a huge success! Infact… Reflux was probably the single most played DUNAHMUS song on all the stations. Not by any means the bands favorite song… but seemed to be the most commercially viable off the self titled release. Smoke & Mirrors & Amnesty were not far behind.
All that being said… their live show was where it was at! The intense emotion and energy they displayed live brought them to great success locally as well. Word spread and before you knew it they was filling clubs on nights during the work week. In being able to do this… it didn’t take long for club owners to start giving them national acts and headlining. DUNAHMUS has opened for such greats as Anthrax (on their 20th anniversary dvd shoot) and Vince Neil of Motley Crue to name a couple.
But we have all seen VH1 Behind The Music enough to know what happened next… yeah… some internal issues arose and the band parted ways. The details of that are not necessary to go into… the only thing people need to know is… THEY ARE BACK! And starting to work on material for a new cd tentatively titled “PAIN!.” This promises to be their most intense collection of songs yet.
Be sure to check back for updates on the status of the new material and other DUNAHMUS events to come… we will probably start blogging current news. In the meantime, please enjoy the videos and music of their first two releases. If you like what you see or hear… tell a friend. If you don’t like what you see or hear… tell an enemy.

PAIN! promises to be the bands most intense project yet! ....

Nathan Hart:
During the hiatus of DUNAHMUS many things have happened to school me in new meanings of the words – pain & anger.
During that time period I have lost a brother to suicide and a brother to murder.
I think I can promise a very intense & angry album!
I have a lot stored up in me that I have to express and say. I fear if I don’t get it out – it may very well kill me!
I know to many that may sound very melodramatic, but most musicians will understand exactly what I’m talking about.
Keenan VanLobbs:
There has been much loss that I have experienced in the last couple years, some a bit too personal and I don't much care to speak about it through this medium.
But with music however, I am able to channel all the pain, stress and all the other bullshit through riff and rhyme without having to come out and actually say it, ya know?
But I will say that these experiences have been a trial by fire... they have driven me to some very dark places and have pushed every boudary within me. I stand, a broken man... But I stand firm and stronger than ever as a result.
Got Pain?
Rick Jackson:
It’s been an interesting few years. Although I haven’t experienced many of the unfortunate events Nathan and Keenan have been through, I have always had the desire to create music in the infamous style of DUNAHMUS.
I am looking forward to getting back to my roots; a true love of heavy, thought provoking music from the heart filled with angst and aggression.
Even though DUNAHMUS has been on hiatus, the wheels never truly stop turning when it is something you do from the heart with passion. They say “you can never go home again”. However, I find myself back where I have felt most comfortable… sharing the stage, our music, and our lives with my brothers in DUNAHMUS and, of course, the notorious D-Tribe.
Buckle up kiddies…..the ride is just beginning…again!!
DUNAHMUS extends their thanks and gratitude to the LOYAL family/fans (D-Tribe members) of this band for their patience during the bands hiatus. All the members of DUNAHMUS are eternally grateful to have the greatest & loyal fans in the world!
I know for some of the band members, if not all, some of the greatest moments in their lives were shared with these die hard fans… who proudly call themselves “The D-Tribe.”
Although this band had achieved a great amount of success in a short period of time it would have meant nothing without them!
We would also like to welcome any of you who may be hearing of DUNAHMUS for the very first time.
More of the story of DUNAHMUS, more pics, music & videos coming VERY soon! Be sure to check back often.
Check out Black Water Rising!
