I'd like to introduce everyone to a band that is very close to my heart, ct based metal band Late Run. Imet these 3 amazing musiciands through a mutual friend (wade you fucking rock) and since that day have been working with them ever since. With several shows now under their belts Late Run is about to embark on a short tour with fellow ct band Flu, also having released their debut cd "Dont Be Ridiculous" in March of 08. Late Run has gotten alot of airtime on WCNI and will soon be heard on SmokinTunz. Net as well as other stations. Late Run is hard at work on their new cd which should be coming out sometime late this year. And now people lets have a little chat as it were with Late Run.... ==============================================1. first off i know who you guys are tell everyone else We are Late Run which consists of myself (R.C. Roberts) on vocals and guitar, Zak Yabrosky on vocals and bass, and Brandon Perrone (or Bradley Corners as we like to call him) on the kit. We call ourselves grove metal, cuz its heavy stuff that you have to move to. We enjoy writing things with a lot of riffs, breakdowns, and melodic elements.2.you've just released "dont be ridiculous" what was the process like for the 3 of you? the album came very naturally for us. Nothing was really forced. We find we write best when we just play and see what happens. Usually we just run with a few ideas, make up some lyrics and theres your song. I think we found what we want to be in that album as well. We wrote a wide variety of songs and towards the end we began to write some crazy heavy stuff that we all loved.3. Late Run has several shows under your belt what would you say is your most memorable? It would have to be our c.d. release party. Almost everyone we know was there and it was just a4.speaking of shows you have a tour coming up with FLU Yes, we are very excited about this. We plan on having a sweet time and playing in front of a lot of cool new people.5. what (besides your gear) is something you absolutely have to bring with you to a show drinkables and smokeables. Also the attitude that any night could be our big break. We give 100% everytime and just try to enjoy ourselves.6. ok silly question now if the 3 of you were stranded on an island which band member would get eaten first easily Bradley Corners......Easily.7. now your all ready working on a new album tell the metal masses about it We have written three new songs so far (Blow, Deathmatch, and Lt. Dan). All are pretty ridiculous. Very fast, very heavy, very Late Run. We hope to record a new album before the end of the year.8. whats new on the horizon for Late Run? anything that comes are way. We are just three kids who want nothing more than to play music all the time. We are up for anything and everything.9. last but certainly not least who out there would Late Run like to thank? I dont want to get too specific with names because I know I'll leave some people out. First I'm gonna have to thank the man downstairs, Satan is my homeboy. (chill its a joke) All of our friends and family that have supported us and come to our shows, thank you, it means a lot. Great thanks to Wade for finding us Sherri, and a huge thanks to Sherri for really getting us as far as we are. A big thanks to Flu and any other band we have shared the stage with. Anyone else that has helped us, thank you much.id like to thank Zak, R.C. and Brandon not only for the chance to do this feature but for the opprotunity to work with them. it has been an incredible time and the love and appreciation i get from the 3 of you is the reason im in this business. i have the pleasure of working side by side with you guys but something i value more is the friendship.so here's to you Late Run you guys fucking rock!!!I'd like to introduce you to another amazingly talented ct band FLU. I have the extreme pleasure in bringing you this feature. FLU along with fellow featured band LATE RUN are gearing up for a short tour that is going to kick some metal ass. please be sure to check these guys out on their myspace page www.myspace.com/fludotcom they are sure to blow you the hell away. And now a few words from FLU...1.introduce yourself to the metal masses. -We (flu) are three friends, michael anderson guitar/vocals, aron uzanas bass/vocals, and matthew peterson drums/vocals, who just hit our ten year (ouch!) anniversary as a band. we write music that is influenced by many genres, and try to play it real fast.2.Flu is an awesome name for a band how did you guys come up with it. -we were kicking around ideas for a band name back in 1998, and someone said "how about "fever?" and aron said "no that sounds like a disco band, how about "flu?" and we settled on that.3. what would you say are your biggest influences -life, metallica, beliefs4. i have seen Flu live a few times now and i have to say you guys put on an incredible show definately memorable and very intense, what would you say is your most memorable show. -January 31st, 2003, the "Remedy" cd release show at the now "no bands alowed" michaelangelo's resteraunt. the place was packed so tight. it was a really amazing feeling to have so many people come out and support you.5. if you could open for any band at all who would it be -the Chariot5. Flu will be leaving shortly for as small tour with Late Run, tell everyone about it-We'll be hitting Charlotte, NC, Fort Wayne, IN, Burbank, IL and Akron, OH. we get along so well with the guys in Late Run. i can't wait to be on the road with them. they are hilarious.7.. is there any news or whats new on the horizon for Flu -just putting the finishing touches on our third full length due out hopefully in september called "for Love and Brother."8. haha silly question (i asked late run this) if you 3 were stranded on an island which band member would get eaten 1st -i guess whoever died of starvation first. we're all skinny dudes so whoever was still alive wouldn't get much meat from the dead. hahaha9. and last but certainly not least is there anyone out there you'de like to thank. -George Engel from Sling Slang Records, Dino Federici from 10 Foot Reach Records, Scott Genereau and Matt Sikorski from Aliehn Productions, Sherri from 667 Entertainment, and of course...God.
