janfie van strien

Janfie plays all saxophones and clarinets. He composes and plays music for his own bands, (studio)projects/ theatre and film. Amsterdam Klezmer band, Brothers in Time, Bernie's Lounge, De Jongens Driest, Lange Mannen theatregroup and whatever comes his way.

I Started out my early years as a drummer in various noisy and punk-rock orientated bands operating in the 1980's. I graduated at conservatory in Holland in 1997. Have been playing in lots of different groups ever since and I'm a full time performing musician. from (modern) jazz- to world, pop and Balkan(beats) .
