THE NIGHT BEFORE THANKSGIVING IS MY FAVORITE NIGHT OF THE YEAR. THAT'S WHEN THEY INFLATE THE BALLOONS FOR THE MACY'S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE ON THE UPPER WEST SIDE! ABOVE ARE SOME PICS FROM 2006.
DOWNTOWN MANHATTAN (FINANCIAL DISTRICT) AS SEEN FROM UNDERNEATH THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE. IS THIS A KILLER SHOT OR WHAT?
ABOVE IS THE MAIN READING ROOM AT THE GRAND RESEARCH LIBRARY ON 42ND STREET AND FIFTH AVENUE. YOU MIGHT REMEMBER THE LIBRARY FROM THE MOVIE "DAY AFTER TOMORROW". ------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------
BROOKLYN (WHERE I'M FROM) IS A PART OF NYC BUT IT IS A TOTALLY DIFFERENT WORLD FROM THE REST OF NYC. BROOKLYN IS OFTEN REFERRED TO AS "THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF BROOKLYN", "THE 51st STATE", & "PLANET BROOKLYN". IT'S UH... A VERY UNIQUE PLACE! :p
------------------------------------------------------------ ---------------------------CHECK OUT MARIAH CAREY AT THE 2006 BALL DROP IN TIMES SQUARE!
GRAND CENTRAL IS THE LARGEST AND BUSIEST TRAIN TERMINAL IN THE WORLD, WITH 700,000 PEOPLE PASSING THROUGH HERE EVERY DAY. THIS WAS ALSO WHERE WILL SMITH HUNG UPSIDE DOWN IN "I AM LEGEND".
THE LEGENDARY KISS IN TIMES SQUARE WHEN THE END OF WORLD WAR II WAS ANNOUNCED!
A VIEW LOOKING SOUTH DOWN PARK AVENUE TOWARD THE MET LIFE BUILDING. IN THE 1998 GODZILLA MOVIE, GODZILLA GOES RIGHT THROUGH THIS BUILDING. (WE HAVE SINCE REPAIRED IT.)
THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WALK ACROSS THE BROOKLYN BRIDGE EVERY DAY.
WHY IS IT THAT ALL THE DISASTER EPICS TAKE PLACE IN NYC? WHY NOT IN CITIES LIKE MIAMI, LOS ANGELES, CHICAGO, PARIS, KUALA LAMPUR, HONG KONG?WHY DO SUPERMAN, SPIDER MAN, AND BATMAN ALL LIVE IN NYC AND NOT, SAY, ATLANTA? WHY DID GODZILLA, KING KONG, AND THAT CLOVERFIELD MONSTER ALL HEAD TO NYC?HMM... MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE... NYC IS THE GREATEST CITY IN THE WORLD?
BROOKLYN BRIDGE PANORAMIC VIEW. SPEAKING OF WHICH, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? YOU NEED TO COME TO NYC ASAP!!------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------
NYC WAS MUCH DIFFERENT BACK IN THE LATE 80s AND EARLY 90s!
Above we have the spectacular concourse of the Old Pennsylvania Train Station (which was demolished to make way for the current Madison Square Garden). We also have the Wonder Wheel at sunset in Coney Island (Brooklyn). Oooh, and below we have the image of a ghost captured in the abandoned train tunnels of the Atlantic Avenue Train Station in Brooklyn! (I think it could be the spirit of a young woman who was murdered in the area; her bones are probably in that tunnel somewhere.)
