Dov Hammer, originally from Chicago Ill., is Israel's leading Blues artist. For 2 decades he has shared stages with the worlds leading artists, as well as leading his own band, in clubs, concert halls and international festivals. He has released four albums of his own original songs, first with "The Daily Blues", later with "CG & The Hammer", and a solo acoustic album. He has played at the prestigious Rochester International Jazz festival in New York state, at "Blues nights" international blues festival in Lithuania, at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN, Jacob's Ladder folk festival at the sea of Galilee, the international guitar festival in Tel Aviv and many others.
He has played with great blues artists such as Willie Kent, Billy Branch, Zora Young, "King " Earnest Baker, Deitra Farr and Paul deLay. In Israel he has appeared on recordings of pop artist such as Arkadi Duchin, Iggy Waxman , Shai Gavso and Yahli Sobol, and has played live with Yitzhak Klepter, Miki Gavrielov,Dafna Armoni and Ronnie Peterson
