About Me

Currently I am playing guitar for the band KOEBEL. In the past I have played with a few other local bands back in the day. One would be BAD 18 (Attitude Check!!!). With BAD 18, I played bass guitar. The other band was RUMBLEFISH. With them, I played guitar. That band was alot of fun to play with because of the diverse set list we would do. RUMBLEFISH disbanded in '98. I went back to school and earned myself a couple of degrees. One was in Business Management and the other was Computer Network Systems. In between going to school I joined this band in 2000 called MONKEY JAR. It was formed with best buds, Joe Falleti (CODA,BAD 18, The RAGE), Sean Ewing (RUDE DUDE,BAD 18,The SMACK DADDIES, GRAND FURY) and John Koebel (need I say anymore?). We did go in the studio and record an EP. The band never did anything more than the studio EP. After finishing school, I did get married to a great girl, Cheri Gentile. Our bridal party did consist of the members of MONKEY JAR. No reunion performance happened like Sting's wedding. Cheri and I have been married for 3 1/2 years now. In 2007, I got a call from John Koebel asking me if I would be interrested in playing with this band that was being formed with him and Joe. I said YEAH! Joe and John were working with film director and producer Chris Rutushin, who currently filmed the independent film FINE TUNE. Joe and John wrote the song "Marie" that is featured in the film. Chris really pushed Joe and John to start getting a band together to perform these songs they were recording. The result was the band KOEBEL. It consists of band members Joe Falleti, John Koebel, David Secre, Amato D'appolito and Greg Horvat. So far, it has been really great. If you go to our myspace page, you will hear the result. Some of the songs you will hear live and on our site came from the MONKEY JAR sessions. We also filmed a video for the song "Marie" that was shot by Chris Rutushin. The live performance of these songs are a little more electrified. I have been having a good time playing these songs out live. We are currently working on our full length CD. There is currently no set date yet when it will be finished. So stay tuned to my page or the band's (myspace.com/koebelband) Since I am guitar player, let's talk about my rig: My main axe is a '62 Fender Telecaster, Epiphone Casino, 60's Fender Road Worn Stratocaster, and an Epiphone Alleykat. For my amp, I use a Peavey Classic 50 with four 10's. I have a SKB PS-45 pedalboard that powers my arsenal: Original Dunlop Crybaby; Boss NS-2 Noise Suppressor; BBE Green Screamer; MXR Phase 90; BOSS Tremelo; Line 6 DL4 Delay Modeler; Electro Harmonix mini Q-TRON; Seymour Duncan Pickup Booster. I thought that might interest other guitar players that might like my tone. I sure do like my tone. See ya'll at our shows!
