on june1'st in the late 80's dj pops was born and christened Paul Gordon. He spent most of his early days listening to sound systems and disc jocks such as kilomanjaro, adonie, delano and Ricky trooper, one of his many idols. while growing up in Washington gardens and attending Calabar high school his love for music became stronger and stronger each time he decides to listens to mix cds such as cash money and black chiny. "while attending high school i collected every black chiney cd and every cash money cd just to hear the the unique mixes of these great disc jockeys, not knowing that one day i would become a great disc jockey also". Dj pops began to make mix cds at the age of 16 were he got a lot of motivation from family members and compliments from friends and fans. Pops then later ventured in music where he decided to become a sound engineer. He then attended music business technology trainers (mbtt) and got certified to be a sound engineer.His musical skills then grew so he decided to take the major decision to become a producer. the young talented engineer then got the opportunity to mix the free mind riddim consisting of various artists such as natty king, eddie fitzroy, gyption, ras p, whizhard and a host of artist. Dj pops is one of Jamaica's talented disk jokey and sound engineers and see his career as a journey and has a dream of working with all producers, dj and artists of all genre to creeate massive hit songs to touch people of all races...
