Mister X

Mister X is a classic rock group from Pittsburg, KS. Mister X has been together since 1987 and delivers a mix of classic rock combined with Mister X originals. Mister X members are Jamie Ortolani (Bass Guitar - Percussion, Lead Vocals & Harmonica), John Gobetz (Lead Guitar & Lead Vocals) Jeff Sandness (Lead Guitar, lead vocals, Harmonica) and Andy Bishir (Drums, background vocals). In the last 20 years Mister X has opened for Black Oak Arkansas, Missouri, Badfinger, Mark Farner (Grand Funk Railroad), The Ozark Mountain Daredevils, The Little River Band, Head East, Brewer & Shipley & The Byrds Celebration.The original Band started in 1987 with Mike Iori, Jamie Ortolani and Phil Ward. Mike and Jamie had played together in a previous band (Mantra) since 1980, and adding Phil to the mix really launched them back into the club and concert scene. Mike left the band early in 2000 and John Gobetz took Mike's place on bass guitar. John had been subbing for Mike off and on for a couple of years prior to Mike leaving the band. Phil played his last gig with Mister X in April of 2008 and the band added Jeff Sandness in August of 2008. Jeff and Jamie had played together 20+ years ago with part of the Mantra line up so their history goes back a few years! Jeff adds vocal strength and stage presence to the new Mister X line up.
