My name is Howard Davis Jr. I am the 1976 Olympic champion. I fought as a professional boxer, from 1977-1996. My first love has always been music. I started playing music at the age of 12 in a band called The Dynamics. We broke up when I was 15 years old and I started boxing. Within 5 years I had 125 amateur fights, with 5 loses and 55 knockouts. My greatest achievement is winning the gold medal for my mother who passed away three days prior to me having my first Olympic fight. I dedicated my Olympic gold medal to my mother...
Now I am coming back to my first love, and that is making music. My style of music is a combination of R&B, smooth jazz, and funk. I am collaborating right now with an old friend of mine, Ray Brown. He is a former band member of the Jimmy Castor Bunch and Ecstasy Passion and Pain. He also was a musical director for Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Gil.
This is who I am.
