Christless Records is a home-based CD-R label that specializes in promoting and releasing underground lo-fi music projects. Originally started in 2003 as a full-throttle indie label, the label went into remission for a while for external financial reasons until it was recouped by one of the original artists in 2008 with the intent of promoting some of the cream of the crop in lo-fi artistry that otherwise might not be heard.
The new Christless is just getting underfoot, but as time passes we hope to bring you a full array of lo-fi country, punk, scumrock, and outlaw music from around the US and the world.
Unlike a lot of fancy-schmancy labels, Christless can't promise artists a lot of money (usually about $1 per CD, as prices will be very cheap) or some fancy layout. Christless relies upon sheer creativity to provide a unique and unreplicale authorized product via a set of "watermarks" that will make these authorized limited editions true collectors items for the fans.
What we can guarantee:
-A CD-R pressing through a currently nameless label run by total scumbags!
-Nifty black-and-white CD sleeves with some art or your picture or some shit on it, plus whatever else you want on there ... song names, maybe?
-Your association with real live degenerates, outlaws, punks, and white trash motherfuckers!
-A good chance your CDs will be hand-manufactured by an authentic chronic masturbator!
-Your CD-R release will be sent out to a handful of bigger, more qualified labels ... who knows, maybe we'll help ya get signed somewhere cool, and all we ask is a thank you ... and maybe a handjob or two from your sister!
We can't take all comers (hey, it's our label, and we reserve the right to be picky little douchebags about it), especially since we home produce at a rate of 3-4 CDs per hour, but we're eyeing a few acts now and sure, we'd love to hear your band! Hell, maybe you'll even get asked to appear on an upcoming compliation CD to promote the label and the world of underground lo-fi outlaw music ... completely unpaid, of course!
