Rellevent

Chicago based singer, songwriter, arranger & producer “Rellevent” has landed his first CD Project entitled “Dyfferent Groove Project”. Raised up an 80’s baby, he remembers so clearly at the tender age of 7 listening to a smooth jazz instrumental being played in his grandmother’s front room on the radio and free-styling words to it. He says “That's where I discovered that my voice was better than my cousins”. Rellevent (Turrell Brown) grew up in the church singing in choirs, High School Choirs, and even tried singing groups while in his teens. At the age of 18, Rellevent received his first keyboard and drum machine. He would sit at his keyboard for hours, come up with a melody, chords to follow and eventually compose a song. He did this often and developed a passion for making music.Rellevent has had the opportunity of working with Walt Whitman & the Soul Children of Chicago, Chico Debarge, and a host of other very talented singers and producers in Chicago. You would catch many of his influences on his IPOD such as Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby McFerrin, Erykah Badu, Raphael Saadiq, Mint Condition, Musiq, Boyz II Men, Buddy Guy, Baby Face, and many more. He especially enjoys listening to gospel music from such artist like Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, the Clark Sisters, Fred Hammond, Bebe & Cece Winans, Shirley Ceasar , Kim Burrell, Tonex , but The list of artists could actually go on and on for a while.A fellow Alumni of Columbia College Chicago (Class of '03); Rellevent received his BA in Music as a Vocal Jazz Major. Currently his running a music production company by the name of Lyrical Talent Productions (L.T.P.) which is a local music production company and home based recording studio. He has produced and engineered for a fellow Columbia College graduate Natalie Oliveri who has recently released an EP entitled Eclectic Soul at LTP Studio. Rellevent says it well “I enjoy working behind the scenes, rather its co-writing, producing, vocal coaching, or engineering, but people wanted to hear from ME”.

A Movement in music that defines the Sound "Soul" and identifies the emotions and the delivery of an artist works by contriving urban musical compositions with influences of Jazz, Blues, R&B, & Hip Hop through a devoted and diligent production company that incorporates musical knowledge and theory as well as nourish the artists' Own Sound.
