About Me

Click Here For Myspace LayoutsI am a late forties, recently divorced father of four daughters, two of whom live at home. I also have three grandchildren. I work in the Signal Dept for Union Pacific Railroad and have been there(orginally with SP)since 1979. I say that life is for the living and should not be a spectator sport. Get off your ass and go live! I have a few sayings I really try and incorporate into my life at all times and here are a few of my favorites.. "There is a place inside you for what you want. Never let it get filled with what you will settle for".."Get goin' or get over"!.."When I am on my deathbed I don't want to look back and say 'Iwish I'd have tried that'".I love meeting new people and making new friends, especially those with who I share common interests, and myspace seems like a pretty good place to do that. I like people as long as they aren't mean spirited or plain ol' assholes. I don't care about your race or beliefs or gender. As long as we can engage in good conversation and/or lively debates, it's all good. I am a politically active and aware conservative, but that doesn't mean I don't like liberals personally, I just disagree with their views, so don't let that stop you from engaging me in conversation of any sort.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Just plain folks! What I AM loking for: People who are open, honest and fun. People who aren't posers, prudes or over the top whackos. Friends from all across the nation, or world, if they want. Witty, flirtatious and interesting people. What I am NOT looking for: A wife, girlfriend or mother for my girls. I can handle that myself, thank you very much. Pushy, overbearing, abrasive, argumentative people. I have enough of those in my real life to last till hell freezes over. Dull, shallow or arrogant people. Twenty year old hotties. Nice eye candy, but what happens when it's time to converse? Drug users, even casual use. I can and will not subject myself to that lifestyle..AGAIN!
