Now that I have a little bit of time I think I should update this section. As I said before, I have been married to the best man in the world, Tim, for 26 years. He has given me two beautiful daughters, Brooke 24 and Mandy 22, and he bought me my youngest baby, Buffy the Beagle. My family is the most important thing in my life. I also have a younger brother, Bobby who is a cop and a siser-in-law Teresa, whom I love like a sister. Their children are Raegan and Garrett. My sister and best friend is Beth. I see or at least talk to her 2 or 3 times a day. Her kids are Hallie and Colby. My parents are Bobby and Rebecca and my in-laws are Dan and Christine. I talk to them all everyday and couldn't make it without them. We are all so close that I have heard one person say it was dysfunctional and we may be but it is nice to know you are loved.
I teach 6th grade Math and Science and I have for the last 16 years. My daughter Brooke teaches life skills at the same school. I absolutely love my job and the kids. There are days that I count the minutes, but that is with any job. I was meant to teach. I can't imagine not doing it. I also work with some of the most wonderful people in the world. I have lots of "best friends" but one of my bestest works right across the hall, Julie. We and our husbands are very close and go almost everwhere together. I lost my other bestest friend that worked with me and spent every available minute outside of school with me to cancer just a couple of years ago. Her name was Kelly. I think about her and miss her everyday.
A few random things "about me" ...
When I turned 40 I made a list of things that I wanted to do. I am proud to say that I have accomplished them all. I need to make a new list. They were:
1. Meet David Lee Roth-- did and have the bandana he was wearing that night to prove it. LOL!! It was so surreal. I still can't believe it.
2. Go to the top of the Empire State Building--went last summer and have a picture for that one.
3. Ride my own Harley--bought one and only rode it a little. Lost my nerve and now only ride on the back.
4. Own a corvette--Bought a pretty yellow one with a 6 speed. Loved it, drove it a year, sold it and made $2000. It was too small to haul all my friends and family.
5. Get a tattoo--I have 4.
6.Go to Jamaica--Sure did. I had a rum in my hand and my toes in the sand.
7. Swim with dolphins-Not in Jamaica, but accidentally in the gulf of Mexico. I was on a boat with some teacher friends and we got out to swim and 5 wild dolphins swam right up to us. They were jumping out of the water and swam between us and the boat. Again, surreal.Just some things that I wanted to do and was blessed to do them. I have been thinking and I think my new goals are, learning Italian and going to Italy. This may take a while, but it will give me something to work for. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy life one day at a time.I am a Christian and I love Jesus. He has blessed me so much in my life and I am very thankful for it all.{}
