In the begining there was irony..
..since my mother, who is the least musicaly talentet person in my family, was the one who introduced me to the world of music. This happened by the piano and so far back that I cant even remember it ever taking place. The rest of my famlily all played or had played instruments and my father has been a musician all his life, playing saxophone with different bands.
Back in ..91 I got my first drumset and started banging away like crazy and after about a year I was asked to join my first band. The following years all the way up to age 17, music was just a hobby, and most of my life was devoted to sports. I did however play both piano and drums on a regular basis as well as guitar which I got one from my aunt who..s was teaching music back then.
The turning point was when I decided, together with a friend who played guitar, to apply for a music program rather than staying at the naturescience program we both for some reason had chosen to study. From that point and on, music became the central part of my life.
I spent a couple of years working after my gratuation, and after one year of improving some of my grades from college, I decided to study music one more year to ensure that I would be able to pass the tests for music university.
During these years I lived and breathe music spending a lot of time writing, recording and performing. I also got to know some amazingly talanted and great people, many of which I still play with today. Needless to say, so much time spent behind the drums during these years meant that I evolved a lot as a drummer, songwriter and musician in general.
After completing the studies I applied and got accepted to two different music universities, but chosed to spend one year in Sthlm working and expanding my network. This year passed by and I moved back north and began my studies at the music university i Piteå, where I have completed two out of four and a half years before I gratuate as a drumteacher.
Here at the university I have met some of the most talented persons ever in my life, and also been having the privilege to perform both in studio and on stage with them. My drumming skills as well as my vocals are improving even more. What is in store for me after graduation, and even on the way there.. who knows..

1992 - Joined first band / Stage debut with "Brändöpojkarna" at my uncles wedding.
1996 - Started writing own music / first studio recording ("too close" written together with J.Nilsson)
1998 - Attended the college music program in Piteå
2000 - First concert outside Sweden. (Trinity College of Music, Dublin,Ireland) / Graduated / Turned down job offer as drummer in N.Y
2001 - Worked as music teacher one year.
2003 - Attended Skellefteå Music College. / Performed at festivals & venues in Sweden, Finland & Russia. / First TV-live performance (Petrosavodsk Music Festival, Russia)
2004 - Got a phonecall from L.A which was the startingpoint of my collaboration with guitarmagician Douglas Brockie (us) / Got accepted to Music University in Örebro & Piteå. / Performed at festivals & venues in Sweden and Finland.
2005 - Recorded the EP "Myopic Truth" with Darn which lead to a contract with Warner-Bros TV (us) / First performance with artist & songwriter Jade Ell (dk) / Began my studies at Music university / Performed at festivals and venues in Sweden & Finland.
2006 - First gig with rockband Caroline when the band had a huge success at its sold out debut in sthlm / Performed at festivals & venues in Sweden and Finland
2007 - Formed rockband "Masters of the Universe" to perform theme show "night of the 80s" which has been a massive succes up to date. Joined the frequenlty playing coverband Fourplay. Performed at venues in Sweden & Finland. Did performances live in both TV, Radio and the web. Joined forces with some of the universitys finest for at unforgetable gig with only Dream Theater & Mr.Big songs (Dvd available).
2008 - Started my own company Chris Hill Connection. Co-arranged and performed in a big Abba-show spectacle. Did more than 50 gigs. Very hectic, thou slight setback with injuries to both elbowes during the first halv of the year. Also had the privelige to play at swedish legendary band Palt Fiction at re-union gig during the summer. Ended the year on a high note producing and performing in the successful christmas show "Christmas of the 80..s" with Masters.
2009 So far - Working hard with both studies and my company and still doing all the gigs I can thou I expect . Have recruited lots of new acts to my company, and I have a few requests for studio recordings. Doing clinic tours and trying to manage life in between all the music :)
