In 1984 he was a member of the Carabo group at the International Jazz Competition of Leverkusen (Germany) reaching the final with six other groups. He has been session man in different German recording studios (Cologne Studio,Europa Sound Studio,etc.). He has played also with some Sicilian pop and jazz groups, among them the Kunsertu with whom he collaborated in the recording of the Ep "Isola" and of the CD "Shams" making parts of the arrangements; has played with famous Italian artists such as G.L.Trovesi, Paolo Fresu, G.Capiozzo - just to cite a few- and also with foreign ones like Harry Douglass (a Duke Ellington singer); has opened concerts of internationally famous artists: Chet Baker, a Tribute to John Coltrane (Mac Coy Tyner, Elvin Jones, Reggie Workman, Freddy Hubbard), Dave Holland, John Ambercrombie, Jack De Johnette, and other nationals among whom Roberto Gatto, Bruno Tommaso, Tony Esposito, and many others. He also played blues with Joe Caruso, King Biscuit Time,Fire &Soul(Festival Blues di Capo D'Orlando, Alcamo,Narcao,Vicenza,etc.), hard rock with Ricky Portera and jazz also with Francesco Falzone,Rosalba Bentivoglio,Claudio Cusmano,Orazio Maugeri, and many others. Has also worked actively as double bass player in Symphonic Orchestras such as the Orchestra Filarmonica di Macerata, the Orchestra Filarmonica Italiana, the Serajevo Philarmonic Orchestra, Orchestra Giovanile Siciliana, during various national concert seasons among which was the Opera Festival at the Ancient Theatre of Taormina with Katia Ricciarelli, Olga Dimitrova and other famous singers; has worked also in Chamber Orchestras among which the Prague Chamber Orchestra and the Ludus Ensemble with a performance at the Discoteca di Stato and at Palazzo Barberini in Rome. In 1994 he was the chief collaborator of Maestro Dino Scuderi for the casting and staging of the rock-opera Jesus Christ Superstar acting as a bass player and choir master of the Sicilian Company, receiving great national applause and favourable reviews during the tour and performances in various theatres among which were the Ancient Theatre in Taormina, the Ancient Theatre in Tyndaris, Teatro Smeraldo in Milan, Teatro Verdi in Florence and the Sistina Theatre in Rome. In 1995 he was the bassist and choir master in the show "Musical in concerto" at the Palasport of Foligno (Umbria). In 1997 his first CD entitled "Images" was distributed by the Greenhouse Music of Wuppertal (Germany). In 1999, during his activity as concertist he has been in the orchestra in the show of the internationally famous singer Noa and the famous Italian singer Lucio Dalla. In the same year ha has taken part in the Festival Blues of Narcao (Sardinia) opening the Big Joe Turner's performance. Recently (2001) he has been in the E.A.R. Teatro di Messina orchestra as first double bass player performing with Carmen CONSOLI , Josè CARRERAS,Andrea BOCELLI,Edoardo BENNATO and many others at the Ancient Theater in Taormina for Taoarte. The shows were recorded in CD and DVD. He has also (2001) recorded the show of the tenor Alessandro SAFINA for the american network WNET. He worked as bassist and choir master in the musical SALVATORE GIULIANO performing with TOSCA and Giampiero INGRASSIA. He has done an artistic production and orchestra arrangements of some pieces that are part of the CD "Nocturnia" of the two pianists Mafali-Pretchner produced by the Greenhouse Music and to be distributed by EFA. He is at present a stable member of Orchestra Ars Musica of Messina, which has played in concerts both in Italy and abroad. He is also a member of the Orchestra Sinfonica del Teatro Vittorio Emanuele of Messina in the Operas and concerts they play each season as first double bass player. He works also as a teacher and composer. Some of his compositions are included in the repertoire of some Chamber Groups, such as Quintetto Classico, Trio Horolis,Trio Carulli, Ars Musica Orchestra, Guitar Ensemble of M° Nicola Oteri, and others. He made soundtrack for the film Tre Case directed by Nicola Calì winning the first place in the Messina's film festival and recently is finishing the soundtrack music for the film L'infernale Litterio directed by the same author that will be released in October 2007. He taught also nomination of artist of the year in his city. His latest personal work "Ta-Meri" which is devoted to Sicily and the whole Mediterranean area, released in 2000, is distributed in America by Wayside Music. He was included as composer in some international compilations such Ibiza Elements and The Sound of Lepanto and made also music for documentaries.
