Welcome to my personal profile page. A page about me and the things I'm getting up to. I only add individuals I have met in person, not product pages or other stuff sorry.
A very quick synopsis of where I'm up to in my life: I grew up in Jondaryan, a very small county town two and a half hours drive west of Brisbane (Australia). From 7 years old I was studying classical piano and enjoyed composing my own music. I went to boarding school in Brisbane and played guitar and piano in a number of bands (from heavy rock to jazz).
After school I studied Psychology and during this time I got into making my own electronic music. I auditioned for a place at the Queensland Conservatorium and went on to graduate with a Bachelor of Music Technology Honours. During my time at the Conservatorium I worked on a heap of different projects including: Orchestral recording, band albums, theatre music, electro acoustic compositions, multi-media work, film scores, dance music and studio production work.
As soon as I handed in my Thesis I got on a plane to London and worked as an audio visual engineer and 35mm film projectionist. Last year I started my own company "StereoDan Productions" and I now work freelance around London for a mixture of artistic and corporate clients. I do a mixture of filming, video editing, music composition, sound producing and graphic design.
This year is a bit of a transition from working for other people to working mostly on my own projects. I'm currently working on a compilation CD promoting the talents of a number of upcoming London bands. My interests at the moment include getting out and listening to as many talented bands and composers as possible.
